The birds are singing in the light of dawn, while down below, our smiles are gone
Sick and tired, spirits low, no wonder with the news we know
Prices rise, the lights grow dim, water, heat, and power thin
Money fades, and humor dies, words now carry jailhouse ties
What once was harmless, now a crime

Free the Bird, I want to see beyond the lies they sell to me
I'd love to be a bird in flight, above the rules, into the light
But even skies grow dark and twisted, by poisoned winds and threats enlisted
Free the Bird, help me believe, there's something real behind the screen

They sort the trash in colored bins, but no one knows just where it ends
One wrong toss, the fines are steep, and silence is the price we keep.

Wealth declines, hearts weigh down, the system's cracked in every town
They send us off to wars we hate, with taxes, lives, to seal our fate
The few get rich, the rest get played, a grand deceit, well-planned and made.

Free the Bird, I want to see, beyond the lies they sell to me
I'd love to be a bird in flight, above the rules, into the light
But even birds can't find their way, with windmills, noise, and skies of grey
I feel deceived from end to end, a truth betrayed, but I won't break.

The Bird I Want To See

Hi! I had my first soundcloud episode from 2012 until end of February 2025. Because my account was hacked, I had to make a cut. I wanted to start anew with a reduced collection of my best songs. Now, with a new header at the homepage, I continue with what I love most: making music.
