When you're talking about techno, few names have been innovating and evolving as much as Robert Hood. When he's not running things over at M-Plant, he can be found touring the festival circuit with his live show and releasing tonnes of fresh new material.

Today we concentrate on his more melodic alias and under the name Floorplan, Hood has released a stunning album showcasing a slightly different yet equally strong sound.

A new EP is set to drop featuring two re-edits of tracks that appeared on his Floorplan album 'Paradise'. 'Phobia' and 'Never Grow Old' have been given a special Re-Plant and we have the premiere of the latter.

Hot off the record press, just in time to ring in the famous mobilee rooftop and pool season, Rodriguez Jr.cranks out a stellar four-track EP.

Revolving around the beauty of the 133 is, "Persistence Of Vision", a groovy and melodic little number wrapped in deep, soulful lyrics, customized to flow through the warm evening open air dance floors of Spain this summer. The Re.You remix of this utopian track speeds up the melodies just enough not to take away from the wonderfulness of it all. With some extra kinky sound gadgets sporadically added in, this jam can be worked in into any dancefloor set.

On the flip side, "Mustang" tears it up with jumping keystrokes and faint background vocals while "Alderbaran" counteracts with cheerful xylophone taps battling with sinister vocal samples, harvesting an uplifting tune.

Past rooftop parties have validated Rodriguez Jr. to be an integral part of the summer line-up and what better to launch 2014 than with a potential "summer hit". Mobilee will introduce its first ever free, bi-weekly Ibiza residency starting Monday, July 14th on the poolside dance floor of Hotel Santos Ibiza Coast Suites and Rodriguez Jr. is scheduled to deliver a sensational and intimate live set. Additionally, in a series of four events, Hotel Silken Diagonal's infamous cozy Barcelona rooftop, in conjunction with mobilee records, will host Rodriguez Jr. to close out the season along with Sebo K and Re.You on Thursday, September 9th.

Only five releases away from the 100th, Rodriguez Jr. delivers on the 095 with a generous 4-track, digital only edition titled "Muppet Anthem".

The self-titled number makes up the first track on the EP with a pleasant array of upbeat house-party elements and groovy vocals making this piece of work totally dance-floor worthy in the heat of the summer.

Seething down to the second track, "Ocean Drive" takes it down a notch by starting the track with exotic and tropical elements as it progresses into a high peak of faster beats and steady keyboard strikes. Its a number that will leave your feet grounded as your swaying shoulders and bobbing head lead the dance.

"Satellite" comprises the third number an emotional hymn bursting with soulful vocals and periodic tambourine jingles and jangles. Enjoy this eye closer preferably with your head back and arms reaching towards the sky.

Closing out the set is "Palo Alto", a high tempo number with various calculated beats one setting off the next. Crying vocals wrapped in multi-faceted elements will leave even your goosebumps dancing.

The French producer/DJ has a stupendous track record with mobilee and its sister label, Leena. In 2011 he released his very first album titled "Bittersweet" on the mobilee imprint. The summer of 2012 has seen weekly gigs throughout Europes favorite beach bars and waterfront clubs with Rodriguez Jr.

In the same vein as her recently launched MOOD imprint, Believe is suited to a number of atmospheres and settings. Across the nine original productions and one collaboration with label boss Adam Beyer, Nicole has crafted a sonically diverse long-player of sounds which draw on the plethora of styles electronic music has to offer. From her accustomed techno to twisted house and everything in-between, the stylistic variety on offer means cuts Believe will easily feature in more intimate settings and big-room venues alike. Believe features a host of tracks aimed squarely at the clubs. From the moody Movin On, the bass-heavy Do Your Thing, to the industrial techno grooves on Come And Lay and the hypnotic chanting vocal on Get On It, the techno-aficionados will not be disappointed with what is sublime set of cuts that will no doubt destroy any dance-floor. 

In contrast however, there are more intimate moments to be found. For example the rhythmically entrancing yet uplifting Fly With You, to Liberum Spirita with its mazy ethereal breakdown, and the synth-heavy percussive builder Lumière Tamisée. Nicoles further flexes her production muscle with the stripped back dub-flavours of Big Love With No Apology, and a robotic groove-laden funk on the standout Can I Get Some. Believe delivers a consummate body of work with which Nicoles considerable abilities in the studio are clear for all to hear. A wide-range of sounds that is sure to appeal to the idiosyncratic tastes of the various sub-sections of electronic music community. Furthermore, it lives up to the high-standards of previous Drumcode long-players and is an engrossing and impressive debut; and one that offers a smooth segue into the next chapter of an already exciting career.

It’s the pre-squeeze leading up to the big release. Mobilee presents this double-track treat on both vinyl and digital. 

The A-side tears it up with „Hartwood“, Rodriguez Jr.’s biggest hit to date. With a series of alternating and repetitive keyboard strokes and soulful lyrics bouncing on a thick velvet cushion of rich background base, this number is guaranteed to appeal to the industry’s most respected players. Already landing on the hard drives of Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier and Simian Mobile Disco “Hartwood” has gained a bit of airtime as loyal listeners burn for the final release date.

The B-side features Anja Schneider with a full out female power vocal number ironically titled, “Henry & Lars”. This track takes form from a very cuddly story that took place at BPM Festival in Mexico as Anja’s little guy and a stuffed animal named “Lars” found love and friendship in a little girl and her stuffed-animal she called “Henry”. And so the story went on…

The two outstanding tracks leading up the 7th mobilee back to back compilation on April 5th is just the tip of the iceberg! Look out for another digital release „mobilee back to back part 2“ before the back to back hits online stores and shelve.
