A sad song, remember my brother-in-law in the Philippines whom passed away Christmas Day, 2024.  I loved him very much, we were family, and despite myself being Caucasian treated me with such affection and care as only a brother can.  Not a day goes by that I do not miss my brother in law, he will always be in my heart.  I first met him in person in 1997 (President Ramos was the President).  I'll write about my adventures in the Philippines in the near future.  I love my extended family, I love the Philippines, and I love Filipino people whom have always treated me like a Filipino - lol, I even went cockfighting and ate native Philippine food (which taste great).  It's been a hard year as I've lost 8 relatives there since Oct. 2024, but especially the loss of my brother in law, breaks this ole cowboy's heart.

In life we sometimes take those closest around us for granted.  In extreme cases nagging and belittling spouses send them away into the arms of another, or, an early grave.  In the case of women they find themselves alone in a nursing home, often abused with memories of one whom was cherished them as the finest treasure, a man (or women) they drove away.  Reflecting back on life, we must cherish those around us - be the glue the binds a marriage or relationship and not the solvent.

The game console has just 128 BYTES of RAM and the ROM cartridged held just 4 KB of data ... but what a blast back in the day.  Pac Man, Space Invaders, Missile Command, Donkey Kong, Pitfall!, Asteroids and so many more.

I'm a 61 year old born and raised in Canada.  My parents were both Austrian (Europe).  I'm married and my wife was born and raised in Luzon, Philippines.  Since 1997 I also live in the Philippines.  I have many interests: motorcycles, ebikes and bikes, horses, agri-forestry, computers, writing, song-writing, Chinese-Donghua (and some Japanese-Anime), inventions, doing the impossible, repairing things, projects, esoteric and much more.  While many take one path in life I love exploring and the roads seldom used.
