After winning the coveted IMRO Clancy Brothers songwriting competition back in 2015, the future looked very bright for Jamie Mulrooney AKA “Doppler” and seemed on the cusp of something special. Ever since then things went a little sideways.. 

This wasn’t the first or the last accolade the Mayo born singer/songwriter amassed over the years either. Receiving a string of glowing press features in Hot Press, The Irish Times, Joe.ie, Chordblossom things seemed on the up and up for the guy and Doppler was even scouted by Atlantic Records at one time. Doppler has gained plenty of other accolades including being voted Song of the Week (2XM), Song of the Day (JOE), Listen of the Week (U&I), Featured Single of the Week         ( Right Chord Music), to name just a few.

He has shared the stage with the likes of Gavin James, Neil Hannon, Cathy Davey, The Blizzards, The Saw Doctors, Jackie Beverly and even played with Bonehead from Oasis a couple of times.

Before releasing the award winning track  “The Truth is Not Your Own” Jamie fell out of love with songwriting, recording and performing solo and decided to put the whole thing on hold and instead pursued a new career….in “ukulele tutoring”. and is now responsible for the largest ukulele programme in the country,''Ceili Ukulele” teaching 800 (YES 800) children a week in national schools for Music Generation.

After an influential recording session with Tommy McGlaughin (Villagers, SOAK) recently in Attica Studios, Jamie decided to get back in the game and plan this long overdue return to releasing music.

My primary genre is instrumental rock/metal, jazz fusion, and progressive rock. My influences are Eddie VanHalen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Eric Johnson, Paul Gilbert, etc... and many many, more...The tracks here were all done at home using Cakewalk, using various drum loops and sequencing for the drum parts bass parts were done by me and MIDI patches were used for the keyboards. My primary axes are Ibanez: Jem, RG 560s, RG2570, Charvel/Jackson Soloist, and a few others in the brood; all equipped with: DiMarzio pickups- Evolution, Evolution IIs, The Breed, Mo-Joe and most recently Gravity Storms. I use Mesa-Boogie and Fender amplification and Boss, DOD, DigiTech, Roland/Korg, and Morley effects/pedals.

In September 2014 The Show released their EP ‘Loaded and Broke’, recorded with Sam Miller (The Temperance Movement, Razorlight, PlanB, Graham Coxon). In January 2015 The Show supported Domino Record's latest band, The Bohicas (who will open for Royal Blood on their London gig) on their tour. 
In 2014, The Show played Brownstock Festival on the main stage, Camden Rocks Festival  and played directly after UB40 on Brentwood Festival. The band has also headlined Looe Music Festival's Blue Banana stage. 
The band has opened for The Vaccines and Steve Cradock (OSC and Paul Weller) and was featured on Amazing Radio’s Saturday Amazing Rock Show.  
Their sold out shows in famous London venues such as The Borderline, The Barfly (Camden), 229 Club and The Water Rats are no doubt due to the band’s consistent, confident and professional live performances.
