Daemonum marks the 30-years anniversary of raison d'être. With Daemonum raison d'être scrutinizes the secrets of the Shadow; the Anima/Animus archetypes and the manifestation of them as a Soul image. By learning to listen for the voice of our subconscious self, we can call that voice our Daemon, our internal genius that provide guidance, we can find hidden potential within ourselves. Daemonum is the album of the daemons.

Hunting in the shadows, for the hidden and the opposite, Daemonum is another crossing, deep down to the shaded domains of the inner world. Struggling in blindness and oblivion, guidance and protectors are needed to unfold the obscure matters of our unconsciousness.

As if the daemon inside is turned into a demonic creature because the host becomes obsessed by the demon. As if the Anima/Animus was intruded and molested or rejected and deformed, infecting the host, causing a different and repressed output. Daemoniacum is the album manifested by the demons.

Teaser for the new raison d'être studio album 'Mise en Abyme', out on Transgredient Records 2014. 

'Mise en Abyme' (placed into the abyss) is an inner katabasis journey to the most hidden and darkest parts of the Self. Conceptually the album contains ingredients from 'The Divine Comedy' by Dante or any similar stories/myths around the katabasis theme. Instead of being linked to religion, history or morality, 'Mise en Abyme' is purely a psychological and therapeutic trip to the underworld. But even in the most dark and chaotic places in the depths there are small shades of light, hope and understanding; one can be enlightened and purified in the return from an inferno.

Flügel's latest offering comes via Unclear Records as part of a compilation EP that celebrates the five year reign of The Klang Club, a small but famous venue in Tuscany. We have the premiere of his track 'Candy Crack'.

The sidewinding track incorporates several different styles from the off. There are elements of floaty house, eerie flashes of industrial noise, tropical riffs and a groove that could only possibly be conjured up by Roman.

The starting point for these live tracks is mainly the sounds used for 'In sadness, Silence and Solitude', 'Metamorphyses' and 'The Stains of the Embodied Sacrifice' looped and mixed live together with on spot improvised sounds, thus shaped into new never before heard sonically expressions.

But what an end!
Massive sounds of drowning liquids, mechanized background noises, brain mangler soundscapes and harsh abrasive amplifications.
Playing this loud will probably make you deaf, but what else is there to listen to after experiencing this.
'Aged Fractures and Dead Ends' is a vast collection of various archive material produced by the Stratvm Terror constellation Peter Andersson (raison d'être) and Tobias Larsson (Ocean Chief).
Lost pieces, sketches, live material, cassette and compilation tracks between 1993 and 1999. 150 minutes in total and most of it has previously never been released.
Comes in a 6-panel digipak with photos by Henrik Stolt.

“I had this idea to make a video for ‘A Case For Shame’ which actually ended up informing the entire visual scheme of Innocents. In the video, someone dies – maybe they killed themselves out of a sense of shame – and they enter this other world, populated by these ghost creatures wearing masks. They look scary, but they’re actually covering their face because they’re ashamed. When you see someone wearing a scary mask, the first thought is, “What’s going on? That’s intimidating.” But they’re actually hiding – it’s the most blatant act of concealing oneself. ‘A Case For Shame” is one of two songs I collaborated on with Cold Specks. She’s quite shy, and preferred to be left alone in the studio, so I’d hit ‘record,’ go have some tea, then come back in and press ‘stop.’”
