Hailing from Indonesia, The Mangrooves are a culturally diverse band, homegrown from the island of Bali. 
This six-piece band, Formed in late 2013, over their dissatisfaction of the stereotypes within the Reggae music scene in Indonesia, along with their love of music and cultures, bring together elements of Reggae, Dub, and Rock. Layered with heavy hooks, and conscious lyrics played over a Reggae beat, they promote good vibes to any audience.


Sonica was born from a quiet need. 
The need to slow down, to feel, to truly connect.

we imagined a space where music speaks softly but deeply.

A space where slower, more refined sounds create room to breathe.
Where every beat isn’t just heard, but felt in shared glances, spontaneous smiles, and unexpected conversations.

Our goal is to create environments where people can meet, express their art, and truly feel welcomed. We believe music can be more than entertainment. It can be a language. Subtle, soulful, and universal.That brings strangers together and turns a moment into meaning.

Getting my head around this DJing and Producing thing while spinning around and around to never before heard drum breaks.

Nez Senja, now also known as Helios XL, draws inspiration from a diverse palette of influences, reflecting his belief in the timeless quality of music. A range of sound and style is evident in his music selection, which resonates with a wider audience. 

Nez Senja has been a mainstay in Singapore’s nightlife circuit for over a decade since 2010, while playing one-off DJ sets in Bangkok, Bali, Hong Kong, Manila, Milan, New York, Kuala Lumpur & Shenzhen. His style oscillates between rocking a club dancefloor and mixing lower-tempo beats for brand activations and special events. 

Online, he’s curated mixes on digital platforms of music/lifestyle brands such as Blast Radio, Mixmag Asia, Bangkok Community Radio, Singapore Community Radio, Ice Cream Sundays, See You At One, Café Kitsuné and The Lot Radio (Brooklyn), including a mix featured on Resident Advisor’s Mix Of the Day series in October 2021. 

The Helios XL alias emerged in 2023, and a more focused sound graced the inaugural Sunda Festival in September, and more recently, Keep Hush Live Singapore in 2024, supported by Carhartt WIP.

Nez Senja deals in pushing high-quality alternative music. From the raw sounds of Jungle-D&B to retro-futuristic head-nodding Hip Hop and essential forays into House, Techno, Electronica, Dub, Afrobeat, Funk, Soul, and Jazz, his music appeals to a diverse sub-cultural audience.

As a DJ, Nez Senja now appears on event billings as different aliases for a variety of styles and genres:

Born in Singapore to a family of musicians and lovers of jazz and classical music, from a young age Maurice developed a curiosity for musical forms that stir the senses and tell a story. His time spent in London as a promoter for Ben Watt’s Buzzin’ Fly Records kick-started his journey as a DJ more than 10 years ago. 

Over the years Maurice has quietly established himself in Singapore's underground music scene and around South-East Asia through his very own Re:fuge club nights in Singapore, festival appearances at Epizode (Vietnam), Wonderfruit and Karma Kastle (Thailand) and performances alongside some of the world's leading House & Techno names including Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Kristian Beyer (Âme), Roman Flügel, Ata, Marcus Worgull, The Drifter, Fort Romeau, Aera, Matthias Schöber, Love Over Entropy and &ME. 

Armed with a sound that marries deep and melodic house with tough and moody techno, Maurice is a believer that electronic music is an open platform, without limits on who or what it may connect to. His openness to perform DJ sets that embrace diversity across musical styles with house & techno as the connector, is what drives his constant devotion to the craft of DJing today and into the future.
