Bio: "The shorter the better," it says. No problem, I'll try.
I started to learn music from an early age with very keen encouragement from my wonderful music-loving parents, and other equally wonderful people including many fabulous teachers, studying cello, piano and singing. I owe my early musical training to my current success. I learnt that as much as music was great fun, it was also hard work. 

I began to compose music aged 8 when I thought up some tunes while playing my cello. I wrote them down, and then thought up some more...well, why wouldn't you?

I first picked up a guitar aged 15 and found that I liked playing it but what what really grabbed me was the banging. bashing and booming BASS GUITAR!

I studied Music and Philosophy at Leeds University, gaining a BA Honours degree, and then worked as a jobbing and touring musician (shall we please not mention the time I worked in call centres and sales jobs, as much as it was character building?)

Composing music came naturally to me from the age of 8, and I'm happy that I've become commercially successful in this field.
