Best of Week 18

Endlich wieder ein kleines Festival und ich durfte das Freitagsclosing spielen. 
Es hat mir unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht und ich hab versucht die unglaublich gute Energie vom Floor in Musik zu übersetzen  - danke an alle Tänzer*innen die Stimmung war überwältigend! 
Leider ist die Aufnahme durch den Regen gecrasht. 
Weil mich aber so viele tolle Menschen nach dem Set  gefragt haben, habe ich versucht es zu rekonstruieren und noch einmal aufzunehmen. 
viel Spaß damit! 
Der Sommer kann endlich kommen!

Heute präsentiere ich euch den jungen DJ/Producer Balthasar Egger der seit ca. 2 Jahren unter dem Alias Foreign Guest veröffentlicht. Mit extrem viel Liebe zur Musik geht er an seine Produktionen und Podcasts ran. Bereits seine erste EP veröffentlichte er vor zwei Jahren auf dem Label Crossfrontier Audio. Weitere EPs auf Armada Subjekt und Underyourskin Records folgten, die einmal mehr die Qualität seiner Produktionen unterstreichen.

Mir ist Balthasar das erste Mal mit seinem My Mental Walk Podcast vor zwei Jahren aufgefallen der mit extrem viel Gefühl unter die Haut ging. Hier kam vor 4 Wochen nun die zweite Version raus, die nun zu einer regelmäßigen Podcast-Reihe ausgebaut wird … man darf also gespannt bleiben.

Für mich hat er sich auch wieder extrem ins Zeug gelegt und einen samtigen runden Podcast produziert. Die Stunde überzeugt durch ihren roten Faden und ist entspannt und doch spannend zu gleich. Balthasar vielen Dank für deine Mühe und die Liebe zur Musik. Und nun wünsche ich meinen Hörern viel Vergnügen mit Foreign Guest.

The same people will find it hard to tell what their favorite food is and will instead unleash a torrent of questions like “favorite fruit or vegetable?”, or “main course dish or a dessert?” On the other hand, we find it easier to give out the things we don’t like rather than those we do. And in any given moment of your life when you understand that you have come to love a particular thing, you discover that your existence has become more meaningful than if you had realized you just don’t like something. One thing is certain - we dig both this project and the podcast by @umamiinspace.

If we follow this pattern, we can divide people into those who know about Rambalkoshe and “homard” project and those who don’t and have no desire to. Those who know can further be divided into those who like us and those who don’t, or those who understand what we do and those who just roam our soundcloud page without much idea of what it is. Those who like and understand can be grouped together and divided into those who know who @kalipo-1 is and those who are about to listen to his music for the very first time. After listening, again, there will be two types of people but no matter how we divide them, we cheer for them all as it’s not every day you get to listen to such music.

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the city has held adistinct place in electro culture. Fort the techno scene, post-wall East Berlin was an instant oasis of new places to hold parties and set up clubs. In the 1990s, the techno and trance genres and the Love Parade played a major cultural and political role for the youth of reunified Germany. In the 2000s Berlin became the symbolic modern capital of techno thanks to legendary nightclubs and an international community of musicians, Djs and artist making up almost one tenth of its population.

So wird die deutsche Hauptstadt in der sehenswerten Ausstellung „Expo Electro de Kraftwerk a Daft Punk“ in der Pariser Philharmonie beschrieben. Neben der herausragenden Rolle Berlins werden auch viele weitere Aspekte dieser mittlerweile gereiften Musikkultur audio- visuell dargestellt. Falls ihr zufällig in der Stadt der Liebe seid, lasst euch dieses gelungene Potpourri der Beats und Bässe nicht entgehen. Neben einigen Klassiker der Synthesizer Geschichte, gibt es unter anderem ein Original Flightcase von Jeff Mills, ein 3D Konzert von Kraftwerk oder einen Bühnennachbau eines Daft Punk Videos zu sehen. Das Highlight wird für viele jedoch die spektakuläre Lichtshow zu einem classic Techno Mix von Laurent Garnier sein. Wir werden demnächst einige Bilder zur Ausstellung auf unserer Website hochladen.

Das elektronische Musik mittlerweile auch an Orten der eher klassischen Kultur aufgegriffen wird, zeigt den gewachsenen Stellenwert der einstigen Lagerhallen-Musik. Sie ist zu einem internationalen Phänomen geworden, welches Menschen auf der ganzen Welt in ihren Bann zieht. Wir freuen uns daher heute jemanden präsentieren zu können, der das Genre seit einiger Zeit begleitet und mit seinen Releases entscheidend mitgeprägt hat. Mittlerweile bespielt er die größten Clubs der Welt und lebt diese Kultur. Willkommen bei Deep Stories...Uner!

Unsere Nummer 174 kommt dieses Mal von einem Künstler denn ich innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu einen meiner besten Freunde zähle … auch wenn wir uns nicht häufig sehen … aber wenn ist es immer eine tolle Zeit mit super Gesprächen. Darüber hinaus hat mich natürlich seine Musik direkt von Anfang an begeistert. Wie kein anderer versteht es David aus verschiedenen Tracks, Stilen und seinen eigenen Gefühlen und Gedanken eine Geschichte zu erzählen. 

Auch beim Produzieren hat sich David innerhalb kürzester Zeit einen Namen erarbeitet … eben auch durch seine Zielstrebigkeit und dem Quäntchen Perfektionismus haha. Mit seinem sehr guten Freunden aus Jugendtagen Jonas Saalbach hat er dann auch dieses Jahr das Label Radikon gegründet … das mit ihrer Künstlerauswahl mehr als überzeugt. 

Für den Podcast für unsere Reihe hat sich David schon seit einem halben Jahr beschäftigt und es ist wieder einmal eine wunderbar runde Geschichte dabei rausgekommen. Es ist ein sehr sehr emotionales Set geworden … ich kenne viele seiner Sets … gerade auch aus seiner „Rebirth of spring“ Reihe … aber ich würde mal behaupten das ist sein bester Podcast bisher. 

Lieber David … tausend Dank für deine grenzenlose Leidenschaft für die Musik … wir sind überwältigt von diesen grandiosen 1,5 Stunden. Und nun liebe Hörer, wünsch ich euch ganz viel Freude mit unserer Nummer 174 und Guzy  ❤❤❤

Marvin performs his outstanding, groovy sound and sets in combination with his unique singing.
Enjoying and enhance many clubs and festivals like Sisyphos, Kater, Fusion or Feel Festival with his funkband he began to join and support different DJs, so as well Live-Acts.
Today he’s creating own tracks and live sets in cooperation with the producer Le Mythe as well as working together with several other producers.
Emancipating himself to a solo-artist and as a DJ his incredible tunes include downtempo, house, deep house, disco and melodic techno, up to tech house and of course featured by his voice.
