Born and raised in west Berlin Michel Neigenfnd had only music and collecting records on his mind from an early age. Influenced by British ‚77 punk- rock and US punk from the late 80's, he soon realized musical boundaries were nothing for him. His equally large passion for hip-hop paved the way to first electronic productions when his passion for techno/house music steadily grew. The steadily growing success of the URSLRecords label which Madmotormiquel has been running together with Sebo and Soukie & Windish since 2010, has been a continuing reason for being booked way beyond the boundaries of Berlin. Katerblau, this is exactly what I needed. Been in a bit of a funk lately with my dj sets struggling to enjoy the process myself or being overcritical, overwhelmed with perfectionism, or a general sense of insecurity, blocking my flow state.

The warm welcoming back into Acid Bogan and the Katerblau experience balanced all that out. 

Its definitely not all as smooth as i imagine, but the overall feeling of this 2022 approach felt very good for me. Enjoy

Oh that Friday... That day was pure magic... A full day of adventurous situations, from grooving with a jazz band, to the wedding of our Lebanese friends, to the most beautiful sunset oft he week, to the little house burn, to the loving atmosphere in our camp, to the big Clan burn and the sky filled with red stars, we directly headed to one of our highlight on Afrika Burn in the Arkology stage. It was literally the perfect day. What a day, what a crowd, what an energy, the rest is history... <3

We have several things to say in the description of this set, and first comes the text Niki emailed us: "I'm dedicating this to a good friend of mine and the unconditional love and support we have for each other no matter where we are and what we are going through in life." Next comes an excerpt from a poem by Pablo Neruda we came upon on @nikisadeki's page and found it to be exhilarating: "Let’s try and avoid death in small doses, always reminding oneself that being alive requires an effort by far greater than the simple fact of breathing." And perhaps the fact that today is the International Women's Day and we would hardly be able to choose a better day for publishing this mix.
