With no doubt the highlight of this year. The energy from the people was out of this world. I will forever remember that night as one of the best moment I've experienced behind the decks. Thank you so much to everyone who brought that unique vibe.

Sie stehen dicht an dicht gedrängt. Die behelmten Köpfe zusammengesteckt, der Blick geht stur geradeaus. Sie verbreiten ein Klima der Angst und des Unwohlseins. Dann trifft Verstärkung ein. Aus einem Kastenwagen gesellen sich weitere vermummte Gestalten der Runde hinzu. Dort stehen sie und warten. Sie warten auf weitere Instruktionen und Befehle. Diese lassen auch nicht lange auf sich warten. Der uniformierte Pulk löst und verteilt sich. Durch ein Megaphon ertönt ein blecherne, leicht verzerrte Stimme. Alle Anwesenden werden aufgefordert die Örtlichkeit zu verlassen, bei Zuwiderhandlungen werden weitere Maßnahmen angedroht. Unruhe macht sich breit. Warum jetzt alle gehen sollen, weiß keiner so wirklich. Plötzlich kommt Bewegung in die Menschenmenge. Rufe werden laut. Sie haben Hunde dabei! Hastig nimmt alles und jeder die Beine in die Hand und drängt in Richtung Ausgang. Die Menschen wirken wütend, verstört und vor allem verängstigt. Keiner der hier Anwesenden möchte gehen, aber auf eine Konfrontation hat auch niemand Lust. Also beugt man sich der höheren Gewalt, dass ungute Gefühl jedoch bleibt. 

Der KataHaifisch Podcast 211 ist eine kreative Kreation von anima. Anima ist ein DJ aus dem Raum Leipzig und Bestandteil des hiesigen Kollektivs ɔstˈɛnd. 
Heute präsentiert uns anima über 150 Minuten lang Downsnappy Songs der extraklasse. Die ausgewählten Musikstücke sind deep und raw zugleich. Ein gemäßigtes Tempo trifft auf temperamentvolle Instrumente und Sounds. Das Gesamtpaket wirkt bündig und macht Lust auf mehr.

On a beautiful late summer saturday, the oracle enacted an undress code to join this intimate gathering. The tea fairies flyed around serving hot tea so the ducks could feel warm and comfortable in their skin to celebrate life as they first knew it. Each duck had a unique shape and was welcomed exactly as they are. No, this was no duck orgy. It was a moment of vulnerability and freedom in which the ducks, stripped of their vestments, found in dancing the most authentic expression of their beings. And so they departed on an ascending journey into the wilderness of their souls!

My first time in Sisyphos back in 2016 has literally changed my life for good. Back then, I would never have thought I would become a DJ... But listening to some sets played in this magical place has ignited in me the spark to want to play music myself. Playing for the first time there during the 1st edition of The Naked Tea Party (@dani-b-4)at Sisyphos was a very unexpected, unique and precious way to come full spiral with this place which means so much to me in my journey. Many heartfelt thanks to Danielle for the invitation, for holding the space so safely and, of course, for following your heart's impulse to create such an AMAZING party concept! And, of course, many thanks to @sisyphos-berlin for opening your doors for me and to all the naked ducks who screamed and danced so wildly to my set <3

A Sunset in Sisyphos | The Naked Tea Party 04.09.2021

It’s been 3 weeks, and I’m still vibrating - still a little incredulous about playing live at Kater Blau, a venue that has been on my bucket list since it was still called Kater Holzig. It’s home to so many great artists I admire, a place that has long extended its magic beyond Berlin’s borders, and I am so honored to have had the opportunity to fill it with my music. 

I’ve been thinking about putting my live set together for a long time, so when the opportunity to premier it at Kater knocked on my door, it was crunch time. 2 months to conceptualize, dissect, render, rehearse - most of that time was spent on figuring out what doesn’t work. Many times I thought about changing to a DJ-Set instead, but ultimately, and last minute as always, I got to a point where I felt comfortable enough to take it out of my little garage studio here in Brooklyn all the way to my home country’s capital. 

These two hours on the Heinz Hopper floor went by lightning fast, and it all feels a little dreamlike still. Of course it wouldn’t be a live set without a few hiccups here and there (see if you can spot my „launching a whole scene, instead of just one clip“-mistake in the early part of the set haha), but I think that’s what makes it come alive in the first place. I learned so much from this experience, and got back to my studio/garage with plenty of ideas on how to grow from here. I want this to be a malleable work-in-progress, evolving together with me - unique, non-repeatable, moment-capturing, responsive, alive. 

Thank you to everyone to came out and got hot and sweaty with me on the hottest weekend in Berlin, literally and figuratively. A warm welcome indeed.

The sun was setting, dust from dancing people, smoke all around the dance floor, smiling beauties everywhere and the vibe! was simply amazing! Yerevan hosted The Alan Parsons Project concert some 10 years ago. Given that only a handful of concerts of that magnitude have been organized in Armenia ever since, @buchneroberst’s set is one of the biggest and most important things connecting life from ten years ago with what is now — endless memories, countless topsy-turvy paths and everything that exists today. And if you look at it from the opposite side, you will definitely find some reason why the guys from Oberst & Buchner have decided to use these tracks in the set, which may be no less important for them too, stirring memories from the past. And what is music anyway, if not “Tales of Mystery and Imagination” and memories?
