To me the original was as good as it can get, after being asked by AZEDIA to do a remix how could I refuse. I wanted to take the best bits and really emphasise them in a way that was more relaxing. The feel and atmosphere was so engaging and spine tingling that I couldn't deter away from it, but rather make an attempt to magnify the feeling the original portrayed. Magical, soul-warming and powerful.

  Don Diablo's "Starlight," is a rare record, a song with a vocal so simple it borders on childish yet one that is delivered in such a captivating fashion it leaves the listener begging for more rather than hitting the shuffle button.  Bursting onto the progressive scene in 2013 "Starlight," became Diablo's biggest release to date, and gained extensive play from some of the world's most renowned DJs.  

  Building from Noonie Bao's infectious vocoded lyrics into a snarling, growling drop McLoughlin's "Starlight," remix has become his biggest release to date, receiving support from Don Diablo himself as well as several other high profile producers and DJ's.

There have been so many guests on Soulection Radio over the past years but no one, we repeat, no one has came in the studio so humble, so low key and just murk the airwaves like starRo did. It's crazy to think that this man has been making music for over 15 years and is barely coming to surface to the world with so much heat. We are just glad he is on our team. He played nothing but original production/edits. Hailing all the way from Tokyo, Japan, starRo is an artist who you will be familiar with starting from this point on. Joe Kay of course opened the show for the first hour & 50 minutes on one turntable (one of the turntable's went out before the show started) playing a bunch of heat that he was holding onto since last week. He made sure to make up for his absence last saturday and play some exclusive Carmack, Atu, Kaytra, Esta, Esgar, Jo Def + some other heavy footwork vibes. 

The music just keeps getting more powerful every week. Lets keep progressing shall we?

Abandoning the initial progressive styled production for his signature melodic dubstep approach Collin McLoughlin has reinvented the club friendly progressive anthem into an emotional bass driven record. Mango, whose unique brand of melodic progressive house inspired the creation of our imprint, returns to our parent label with "Pillow Fights", one of the standout tracks from his recent artist album, "Citylanes Airplanes". A collaboration with Richard J Aarden, the Original Mix features all of the distinctive elements of Mango's sound that have inspired us for so many years. More specifically, an uplifting chord progression and light, minimalistic rhythm create a "weightless" and deeply soothing soundscape. Aarden's soulful vocals and thoughtful lyrics are equally cathartic. The uplifting, yet slightly melancholic chords guide the listener into the main break, where a delicate piano and Aarden's pensive vocals reach even greater emotional depths.

Blood Groove & Kikis, who are now regularly supported by the industry elite on major house, trance & progressive radio shows alike, offer the one and only remix in the package. They are an especially suitable choice, given their great talent for both melody and atmosphere. Their interpretation, not surprisingly, offers a bit more of a DJ-centered groove, yet is no less soulful than the original. The main chords have been reworked, while the vocal remains the lead element of the track. In the main break, autumnal synths enhance the poignance of Aarden's gorgeous vocals.
