It is much more than just the crunchy Saffron rice at the bottom of the pot – It's also a space to share music and to connect with the Iranian Diaspora. The diaspora has spread throughout the world since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. People of the diaspora manage to integrate pretty well by learning the language and finding a job. The new generation is also blending nicely but many forget about their connection with Iran, because they need to fit in so bad. However, in the music industry, there is a beautiful phenomenon connecting the diaspora with their home country. Even if it still clashes with their family traditions that would rather see their children become doctors, lawyers or engineers, many young artists pursue their dreams and play or produce music for a living. In this show, you will discover many young talents of the diaspora. The show is curated by André Ramin Salem, part of the Swiss Duo Ramin&Reda and founder of Swiss mini-label No Heart Feelings.

This mixtape is a reflection of my roots and my position within SWANA solidarity.
It moves between club tracks and more contemplative moments — tracing lines between Tehran, Kabul, Istanbul, and Palestine, while creating space for both movement and meaning. Yes, there’s clubbing too.
These are rhythms crafted by carefully selected producers — for dancing, for introspection, and for resistance. There’s sweat and movement, vulnerability and wildness. But within every beat, there’s a statement: We can love. We can care. We can party. We can be intimate with whoever we choose. And we will always fight for justice. Free Palestine.

Ramin is a Swiss-Iranian artist, DJ, producer, and curator based in Geneva. Active in the music scene since 2019, he has performed at local clubs and international venues in cities such as Paris, Istanbul, Rome, Berlin, and Amsterdam. His journey has also led him to festivals like Montreux Jazz Festival, Transmusicales de Rennes and Paléo Festival. As a producer, Ramin delves into electronic music, blending sampled percussions and synthesizers, creating a mix of original tracks and edits that reflect his versatile sound. 

His curatorial projects focus on creating spaces for SWANA communities, cultural gatherings and festive events in Geneva. He has worked with venues like Le Rez - L'Usine, Le Groove, Bongo Joe, and L'Ecurie. From 2022 to 2024, Ramin curated Club Salaam, a series that highlighted artists such as Saliah, Moktar, Zaatar, Deena Abdelwahed, Leila Moon, and other local talents.

Ramin also hosts radio shows on Noods Radio (Bristol) and Radio Alhara (Palestine), where he shares a broad selection of music. His style combines bass-heavy and electronic rhythms with retro, acoustic, and synth-pop sounds, creating dynamic sets suited for a variety of audiences and spaces.
