Tanzania is a country in East Africa. It lies on the Indian Ocean and borders Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the west, and Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique to the south. Tanzania is approximately two and a half times the size of Germany. With a population of around 62 million, it is the fifth-largest country in Africa. The capital is Dodoma, but the largest city is the coastal city of Dar es Salaam; other major cities include Mwanza, Arusha, Mbeya, Morogoro, and Tanga. About 125 languages ​​are spoken in Tanzania, mostly Bantu, but also Nilotic and Cushitic languages, Arabic, and Indic languages. The common languages, however, are Swahili and English. Most Tanzanians are either Christian or Muslim.

Tanganyika (the mainland territory including the island of Mafia) gained independence from the United Kingdom on December 9, 1961, and merged with Zanzibar (the islands of Pemba and Unguja) in 1964 to form Tanzania, whose name is a portmanteau of Tanganyika, Zanzibar, and the term Azania. Tanzania has been a member of the Commonwealth of Nations since gaining independence from the United Kingdom in 1961.

Greece is a country in southeastern Europe and a country bordering the Mediterranean. The Greek territory borders on Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey. Greece is a parliamentary republic with presidential elements. The capital of the country is Athens. Other important large cities are Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion and Piraeus.

Ancient Greece is known as an early European civilization, which produced important achievements such as Attic democracy and philosophy, early natural sciences and classical Greek architecture and literature (epic, poetry, drama), which were considered exemplary in the following eras up to modern times. After being absorbed into various great empires such as the Roman Empire in antiquity, the Christian-Greek-influenced Byzantine Empire and the Muslim-Turkish-dominated multi-ethnic state of the Ottoman Empire, a Greek state was only able to be formed again in the 19th century in the wake of the Greek Revolution and the subsequent independence from the Ottomans. Greece is a member of the United Nations, OECD, NATO, OSCE and the Council of Europe. In 1981 Greece was admitted to the European Community. On January 1, 2001, Greece joined the Eurozone.

The United Nations Development Program lists Greece as one of the countries with very high levels of human development. The tourism and trade sectors are particularly important economically. The manufacturing sector is (as of 2015) of little importance compared to other highly developed countries. The food industry and metal processing make up a significant share of the industrial sector. After a long recession or stagnation since 2008, the economy rebounded from 2017 until the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Greece's unemployment rate is currently the second highest in the European Union after Spain.

Malaysia, is a constitutional elective monarchy with 34 million inhabitants, consisting of 13 states in Southeast Asia on the Malay Peninsula or West Malaysia with the capital of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and East Malaysia on part of the island of Borneo. The South China Sea lies between the two roughly equal parts of the country.

West Malaysia borders Thailand by land and water and has maritime borders with Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia. In the south, it is separated from the Indonesian island of Sumatra by the Strait of Malacca and connected by a causeway to the city-state of Singapore on the island of the same name. The head of state is the king. He bears the title of Yang di-Pertuan Agong and is elected every five years from a series of nine nobles. Parliament has an upper and a lower house based on the British model. From its inception until 2018, the Barisan Nasional majority coalition led both chambers under the leadership of the United Malays National Organization party. In 2018, the opposition alliance Pakatan Harapan replaced the previous government and appointed the Prime Minister for the first time.

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, which was briefly called Rhodesia and Zimbabwe-Rhodesia as a former British crown colony of Southern Rhodesia and as a secession territory.

Jordan is a state in the Near East. It borders Israel, Palestine (with the border under Israeli control), Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea at the Gulf of Aqaba (where it has a maritime border with Egypt). Jordan is one of the so-called Mashreq states. The majority of the more than 11.5 million inhabitants are Sunni Arabs. The capital and largest city is Amman.

Jordan was formed during the First World War as a result of the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire. From 1921 to 1946 it existed as the “Emirate of Transjordan,” which was a British protectorate. Jordan became independent in 1946, two years before the rest of the British League of Nations mandate (now Israel and Palestine). Jordan then went directly into a decades-long military conflict with Israel over the adjacent West Bank, which was only ended with a peace treaty in 1994. For some time now, the country has been characterized primarily by the reception of many refugees; Jordan is the country in the world with the second highest proportion of refugees in the country's population (after Lebanon, as of 2020).

The government of Jordan is a constitutional monarchy, but the king has extensive executive and legislative powers. Jordan is a founding member of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The country has a high human development index and belongs to the group of low-middle income economies. Jordan's economy, one of the smallest in the region, is attractive to foreign investors due to its skilled workforce. The country is a major tourist destination and also attracts medical tourists due to its well-developed healthcare sector. Nevertheless, a lack of natural resources, a large influx of refugees and regional unrest have slowed economic growth.

Jamaica is an island nation in the Caribbean. The country is a former British colony that gained independence in 1962 and a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. The capital, Kingston, is also the largest city in the country. The majority of the approximately three million inhabitants are descended from African slaves and are Christian.

Jamaica is a democracy, although to this day it recognizes the British monarch as head of state, who is represented by a governor general.

The musical styles ska and reggae emerged on the island. Furthermore, the Rastafarian faith has its origins in Jamaica.

Turkmenistan is a state in Central Asia. Turkmenistan lies on the Caspian Sea and borders Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Iran. At 488,100 km², the landlocked country is about the same size as Spain, its landscape is primarily characterized by the Karakum Desert and it has the fourth largest natural gas reserves in the world.

According to the census at the end of 2022, the sparsely populated state had 7,057,841 inhabitants, the majority of whom were Muslim Turkmen. The capital and largest city in the country with around one million inhabitants is Ashgabat. Other important cities are Türkmenabat, Daşoguz and Mary.

In 1991 the country declared its independence from the Soviet Union. In the following years, the first President Saparmurat Niyazov, who had previously ruled the then Soviet Republic since 1985, established a totalitarian system that still exists today. Turkmenistan is therefore considered one of the most restrictive, internationally recognized states today. The human rights situation is extremely critical, for example freedom of expression is severely restricted. In various democracy scales, the state has consistently occupied one of the last places since the beginning of the measurements until today.

The economy relies heavily on natural gas, which accounts for a majority of gross domestic product and exports. Despite the resources, the domestic economy remains constrained by government control and limited foreign investment. Socially, Turkmenistan has made progress in living conditions but faces challenges such as human rights violations and unequal distribution of economic benefits. Internationally, it pursues a policy of neutrality and maintains close economic relations with China.
