PREMIERE: Alexander Technique - Machine [Say What?]

This release was a long time coming but it took several other releases over many years in terms of me expressing myself to get to this point. Back in 2015 I started with a harder edge sound and more driving techno but there was a missing groove, a fun groove. Since then I explored a lot of different sounds, many that were quite housey and upbeat but didn't quite fit my true personality. Now I feel as though I found the exact balance of emotion and energy that is truly who I am as a person. Upbeat and fun but serious. These tracks actually came together quite quickly and were a lot of fun to make. I truly enjoyed the process. They are simple but big and bold.

His dynamic presence and technical prowess make him a standout figure in the techno scene.

Next up on Kuukou is a DJ-friendly 2-tracker from production mastermind Bruce Zalcer. Hailing from Panama City, Bruce draws influence from a unique pool of sound with shades of Metal, Blues and Latin subtly appearing in his catalogue. Here, he focuses in on the floor with a potent pair of tracks built with tough, sturdy bones.

'Automatic' kicks things off with a dark, weighty shuffle that marches with a mechanic ferocity. This is refined and stripped Techno at it's best; a stab, shuffles and a herculean kick being all that's required to generate a busy, kinetic energy while a trippy and indelible vocal rings out. 

'Rough Ready' follows up with another nails kick drum that tumbles like a stone under a groove-laden stab and gently twisting pads. Robotic vocals and bright, fizzing rides generate momentum across a highly effective DJ tool thats sits right at a rolling boil throughout.

I was born in Brantford Ontario Canada July 11th 1963,
I'm a retired City Worker from The Brantford Ontario Works Dept of 34 years of service,
I was 9 years old when I started taking drum lessons with the Ontario Conservatory Of Music,
I taught drum lessons and played in a band that played blues, country, 50's, blue grass,
I started making playlists at the age of 12 years old (1975) Pioneer Turntable, Cassette Deck, Receiver & two 50 watt Speakers.
