Fue escrita por Cliff Burton, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich y Dave Mustaine. Particularly inspired by the short story called The Call of Cthulhu by H. P. Lovecraft. This song appeared on the band's second album, Ride the Lightning, in 1984. It was written by Cliff Burton, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and Dave Mustaine. The song refers to a cosmic horror story in which a being called Cthulhu lies for millennia under the sea, this being is a Shadowhunter evil of which humans are prey.
