Today we come to you with a lil special love nugget. This is a track we put together sometime ago and have been playing it in more intimate and cosy gatherings. It's our re-interpretation of a track called Goin' Bad from Soul Keita released on the marvellous Other People imprint back in 2010. Soul Keita is an artist we've been inspired by over the years and our curiosity has led us to really soak up every single piece he has released. Other than what remains of his music under this alias, he's been traceless for years.

Few ar]sts have lej their mark on a genre as ubiquitously as Mira & Chris Schwarzwalder. Ajer more than a decade of shaping their brand of hypno]cally-charged house with ethnic undercurrents – both individually and as a duo – Mira & Chris follow up their 2020 summer hit ‘Déia’ with a long-awaited 5-tracker on Kiosk ID. ‘Cleo’ features two originals and three eclec]c remixes by Argia, Hardt Antoine, and Jonathan Kaspar for catalogue number 020.

‘Cleo’ epitomizes the slow-burning aesthe]c Mira & Chris are known for in their B2B DJ-sets across the world. Contras]ng darkly ominous chords with playful blips, organic percussion, and radiant synth progressions, ‘Cleo’ opens up airy worlds of mesmeric explora]on anchored in a sub-heavy groove.

Hardt Antoine’s up-tempo rendi]on of ‘Cleo’ aroully reinterprets the original’s underlying tension. Cascades of rippling percussion, tearing sirens, thundering sub-hits, and a crackling electronica beat conjure waves of boSled-up energy that constantly threaten escala]on.

With ‘Jero’, Mira & Chris explore deeper climes. Brightly shimmering chords and a resonant lead synth conjure an infec]ous, evolving mantra framed by a compact beat. Aroully threading the needle between danceable, transcendental, and uplijing, ‘Jero’ showcases Mira & Chris’s ability to turn subtle tension arcs into sprawling auditory journeys.

@argiamusic’s Powerbeats Version infuses ‘Jero’ with harsher soundscapes and industrial undercurrents. Clanging percussion, washed-out vocal effects, and a building break imbue ‘Jero’ with searing edge and peak-]me quali]es.

Jonathan Kaspar reduces ‘Jero’ to its base-most elements and reimagines the original as a stripped, introspec]ve groover. Mangled blips, warm pads, and beau]fully resona]ng salvos of malfunc]oning machinery intertwine to create the soundtrack for a sunrise on a distant world.

This long-awaited project from A Tribe Called Kotori marks the collective's first full-length venture, featuring the immensely talented Rampue. Known for his phantasmagorical soundscapes, Rampue navigates the realms of electronica, abstract music, and balearic-infused progressive house with exceptional mastery. Based in Berlin, this virtuoso manages to mesmerize and elevate listeners through twelve extraordinary tracks, forming the foundation of this resplendently textured sonic journey. His compositions oscillate between understated euphoria and riveting exoticism, reflecting his prowess in evoking contrasting emotions through his music.

The creative journey leading to the birth of 'Bubblebath Trance' is a tale of irony and serenity intertwined. As Rampue recalls, "It all started and ended in the same moment: my cherished feline companion, my laptop awash with an unintended bath, and alas, a dearth of backups." This unfortunate series of events led to an outcome echoing a kind of chaotic tranquility. This serenity, born from stepping into a bubbling primitive chaos, permeates throughout the album, enriching the overall listening experience.

Rampue's debut album subtly imitates the "euphonious strains" of iconic PlayStation 1 video game soundtracks from his youth. The music sweeps listeners into a paradoxical emotional experience—imbued with nostalgia, yet vibrant and dynamic. It’s as though listeners are offered a bird's eye view of the world below, allowing them to rise slowly through the atmosphere's layers towards uncharted territories.

Rampue’s artistic mastery shines in ‘Harmonie,’ a true paragon of his unique take on classic electronica. The track radiates a poetic flame, consuming and transforming all within its reach. Picture yourself riding a chocobo across the sandy expanses of North Corel while this composition echoes in the distance. It paints a vivid scene for Final Fantasy VII aficionados.

The album embraces a rich variety of musical hues and subtleties. From the brass-heavy coastal jazz influences in 'Schattenschranz', to the chopped-up, trip-hop-adjacent electronics in 'Inside', Rampue demonstrates his ability to shape-shift across genres. Other tracks like the joyously chaotic 'Tripomatic', and 'Ich hasse Sonne', with its cinematic flair, contribute to the diverse soundscape.

The album’s eponymous track, 'Bubblebath Trance', is a piece both exuberant and deeply moving.
