From the soulful original »Midnight And You« by Love Unlimited Orchestra from 1974, there is a smooth, nice and easy reggae cover by Willie Lindo. It is called »Midnight«. Because i like the groove of the song, i have decided to dub the whole tune in a extended version of the mix.

If you have an attention span longer than a goldfish and wish to discover some excellent artists and their work, then do stick around for those 2.5 hours and properly consume it. Third edition of Birds Of Paradise brings some very interesting tunes to the forefront, recordings that bring incredible ambiance in their own right.

Birds Of Paradise Volume 3

By far one of the most fun sets I've ever played. What is important here is that it was not your typical DJ set. What we decided to do was incorporate Live instruments/players into the set. Andy "Ammo"  Schneider played percussion throughout, Jeff Straw/DJF came through with his horn and Coltorious brought the vocal heat for some original ThrillHammer tracks. Unfortunately we did not get a recording of it and I have recreated the mix from the DJ side, to give you an idea of how the vibes went down. We all hope you enjoy what we were able to put together albeit without all the live portions. Massive thanks to @hushconcerts for including me/us.

Ramrock Red have had to keep quiet about the forthcoming ROY INC. x Darren Morris collaboration for a while whilst the final tweaks on the tracks have been completed. But it is with great excitement that this announcement can be made – the deceptively simple message of ‘Credit Me’ belies the attitude laden sentiments of ROY INC’s vocal delivery. It is ROY INC’s commentary on social and creative injustice in the music and arts arena, where the artist is often overlooked and under played, not acknowledged for their ideas, input, efforts or concepts of their work. This song is a mantra, enabling the artist to stand up and face the aggressor with bravery and highlights the emotional ramifications that unfold with each different situation. Darren Morris’s seriously good musical score underpins ROY INC’s observations, and his beautiful instrumentation compliments the narrative perfectly.

ROY INC. is an exceptional talent - singer, songwriter, arranger/composer and music co-producer, having worked and performed with Frank Ocean, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Grace Jones, Donna Summer, Sting, The Pet Shop Boys, Neneh Cherry, Mica Paris, Suede, The Verve, Living Colour, Johnny Hallyday, Eros Ramazzotti and Cerrone. ROY INC’s 2014 debut album, ‘We Were Here, I’m Just Like You’, saw him working alongside dynamic producers such as Darren Morris (North Street West Studio), Fraser McCormick & Paul Tierney (Burnt Out Stable Girl), Jose Macabra (Primal Uproar), George T and JeanGa (Sons & Sounds Studios) and Camilo Salazar and Matt Stokes (Morley Studios).
