From the soulful original »Midnight And You« by Love Unlimited Orchestra from 1974, there is a smooth, nice and easy reggae cover by Willie Lindo. It is called »Midnight«. Because i like the groove of the song, i have decided to dub the whole tune in a extended version of the mix.

If you have an attention span longer than a goldfish and wish to discover some excellent artists and their work, then do stick around for those 2.5 hours and properly consume it. Third edition of Birds Of Paradise brings some very interesting tunes to the forefront, recordings that bring incredible ambiance in their own right.

Birds Of Paradise Volume 3

By far one of the most fun sets I've ever played. What is important here is that it was not your typical DJ set. What we decided to do was incorporate Live instruments/players into the set. Andy "Ammo"  Schneider played percussion throughout, Jeff Straw/DJF came through with his horn and Coltorious brought the vocal heat for some original ThrillHammer tracks. Unfortunately we did not get a recording of it and I have recreated the mix from the DJ side, to give you an idea of how the vibes went down. We all hope you enjoy what we were able to put together albeit without all the live portions. Massive thanks to @hushconcerts for including me/us.

Following on from Errol Lamzi’s 2022 exquisite slab of properly good Lovers Rock, ‘Lonely’, he returns with his fabulous follow up, ‘Falling in and out of love’. With Errol’s original lyrics and sweet vocals riding over a cut of The Steppers 1977 reggae riddim, ‘Funny Feeling’, it’s down to acclaimed UK reggae producer, Senator B to provide the authentic JA production style. The riddim was also used on the iconic Rankin’ Joe and The Steppers 1978 track, ‘Hotter Claps Clap Them’

Errol Lamzi began his musical career as a singer/songwriter in the early 80s on the UK based ‘Yootman Sound System’, situated in North West London. Following on from the sound system days, Lamzi went on to pursuing his dream with the release of his debut single entitled ‘The Rose.’ This was followed by other releases such as ‘Zoom’, ‘Hold Me’, Loveride’ (a duet cover with Honey B), ‘Somebody’s Fool’ and ‘Easy Lover’ which was released on Jet Star Reggae Hits Volume 9. After a break from music taking time with family and his career, Errol Lamzi returned to the music scene with further releases in 2021 entitled ‘Cherrie’ and ‘Not Another One’.  Following on from his 2022 ‘Lonely’ collaboration with Stingray, Errol has added yet another future classic to his repertoire.
