Founded in 2015, we are here to bring a new wave of bass music events to 716.

One of the most influential figures in San Diego rap scene since the late '90s, Smoke 1 Records CEO Che Lumbwele goes by the name Baby-k Da Godfather when he grabs the mic. With lyrics typically revolving around money, cars, and hustling, his music is ambitious, extravagant, and hedonistic, serving as a primary example of San Diego sound. Throughout his career, Baby-k has played a major role in the careers of many rappers from San Diego, including Dyoung, Cobra, Manaje Bone, Monty Bello L and many more, has co-produce with producers like Ecay Uno, Treali Duce and Tyran Mayberry,also work and produce for artist like Adonis, Don Elway and so much more.  Then known as Baby-k, Che(baby-k) made his solo debut with the 2021 album DAYGO’S MOST WANTED. he switched his moniker to Baby-k Da Godfather with the release of 2021 album DAYGO’S MOST WANTED.  

Che Lumbwele formed SMOKE 1 RECORDS in 2020 but started with smoke 1 productions which was form in 2002, it started as a promotion company and was hosting his own events.  Che Lumbwele has been heavy on the san Diego music and partying scene since the late 90s, he has shown artist how to be and stay independent in the music industry, you can’t speak of music in San Diego without mentioning Baby-k Da Godfather
