<a href="http://www.christophdebabalon.com/"target="_blank">CHRISTOPH DE BABALON</a> is known for tripping beats, dark wide spaces and eternal melancholy.
He released his first record in 1994 on Hamburg’s cult-label Fischkopf. Right after his debut he began working with ALEC EMPIRE’s Digital Hardcore Recordings (DHR) where he, besides a couple of other records released his most important work: the legendary album ‘If You’re Into It, I’m Out Of It’.
Also THOM YORKE of Radiohead is a big fan of Christoph de Babalon’s music and invited him on a tour through southern europe in 2001.
As co-founder of the music label Cross Fade Enter Tainment [CFET] he has been putting out records by influential electronic hardcore producers such as Somatic Responses, DJ Scud, Zbigniew Karkowski and Merzbow (to name but a few) since 1994.
In order to learn more effective production techniques and gather new experience, he began working on music for theatre productions, dance performances and film. In June 2008 he hooked up with Radiohead again to play the “Daydream” Festival in Barcelona and introduce ,,Scylla & Charybdis” (released in 2008 on CFET) to the public for the first time. It was a sunny day – but the sky turned dark during Christoph’s set. (Text adapted from Christophs Soundcloud profile.)

Né à Londres de père musicien, il baigne dans la musique depuis son plus jeune âge. Amateur de tous styles musicaux, particulièrement du rock, il découvre les free party en 2001.

Il commence alors à organiser des soirées avec le soutien d’anciens comme les Gravos, et fonde le crew Chantier Mobile avec quelques amis. Il commence le mix en 2002, et sa première inspiration est clairement hardcore.

Commence pour lui de longues années de rave, se liant d’amitié avec plusieurs groupes du sud comme les Atypik, Tekmenem’s, Tekxplosif, Cysm’s, Realtek et bien d’autres, il privilégie la solidarité entre sound system.

2012 marque un changement dans son approche musicale, et il commence à s’intéresser au groove qu’apporte la tekno, l’électro et même le scratch, puisant son inspiration dans les raves les plus underground. Il rejoint alors le crew CPC et organise avec eux des free Tekno et festives.

Il forme alors le Kolektif Oditif, avec des amis de plusieurs crew différents et se lance dans les soirées légales.

Sa rencontre avec les Assteks et Welcome l’amène à jouer dans de nombreuses soirées, il se retrouve avec quelques uns des plus grand DJ comme Manu le malin, Hellfish, Angerfist, Day Mar, Adrénokrome, Al Core, Maissouille, Noize Suppressor, Mad Dog, Korsakoff, X-pander, Neurokontrol, Goetia, The Braindrillerz, Psiko, Gazmask, DSP, et bien d’autres.

Grâce à l’amitié qui se forme entre l’association Welcome et le Kolektif Oditif, naissent de nombreuses soirées légales comme les Zone 51 et  les Great Connection. En s’associant avec d’autres asso ( Musight Club, La Ruche, Alternativ’Kulture ), ils créèrent les soirées 1ère Piqûre et Piqûre de Rappel, mélangeant le hip hop et la musique électronique.
Cela fait un an qu’ il se met à la composition sur Ableton, grâce à laquelle un autre univers musical s’ouvre à lui. Il commence quelques collaborations, avec entre autre, Trackwasher, Freak Factory, Disturbed Traxx, Al Core, Redge, MC Galère et bien d’autres. Il signe deux EP chez Pimp Tits Record et Lamalice Record, et un LP chez Oxymor Record.

Après 17 ans de mix, son style s’est affuté, donnant beaucoup de rythme à base de cut et de scratch, Randall enflamme le dance floor à chaque représentation.
