With her candid and direct lyrics, singer-songwriter Charis already found her individual mark in the landscape of pop music. Born in Germany, her upbringing was rather peculiar for a pop artist: Charis grew up in a Christian household, without TV or radio. Nonetheless, pop music would still find a way to her, whether by sneaking Rihanna CDs into her room or watching Hannah Montana at her friends‘ place.

At age nineteen, Charis discovered songwriting as her creative outlet. Her very first songs were produced by her brother, in a studio they set up in their parent’s basement. After his encouragement, she decided to share her music with the world. Her songs quickly drew the industry’s attention, leading into collaborations with diverse international producers on new music to come. 

Charis‘ songs cover a wide palette of emotions, ranging from heart-wrenching ballads to self-reflective pop anthems. Being able to balance charm and directness, she has her own way of captivating her listeners, reminding fans of artists like Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey.
