WOLFGANG HERBST is a German Pop musician.

WOLFGANG HERBST ist ein deutscher Pop/Indie/Folk Songschreiber, der bereits mit Acts wie "Bosse" auf der Bühne stand,im Vorprogramm von "Sasha" auftrat und sich die Bühne mit Seeed und Pohlmann teilte.
Sind wir alles austauschbar? Eine der essentiellen Fragen, die sich durch die Texte Herbst´zieht.
Schon nach den ersten Takten wird klar. Seine Musik ist es nicht. Herbst ist ein Songwriter, der nicht nur Musik,
sondern auch seine Texte sorgsam komponiert.

Seit einiger Zeit gibt es sie wieder, Musiker aus Deutschland, die nicht nur etwas zu sagen haben, sondern die uns auch etwas sagen; Typen, die ebenso lebensklug wie lebenhungrig Gefühle und Gedanken auf den musikalischen Punkt bringen. Gisbert zu Knyphausen gehört dazu, Nils Frevert, Moritz Krämer und jetzt auch Wolfgang Herbst und das maskierte Wunder aus Hannover. Seine Musik verführt mit funkelnder, eigenwilliger Sprache und unwieder-stehlichen Melodien im elektroakustischen Soundgewand. Überhaupt sind die Lieder eine akustische Entdeckungsreise, denn jeder Song ist auch ein oszillierendes, überraschendes Klanggemälde, das nachdenklich und exemplarisch unser Leben reflektiert, die Pole zwischen Hoffnung und Verzweiflung, Sehnsucht und Vergeblichkeit abschreitet. Dabei gelingt es Wolfgang , uns mit seinen Liedern schweben zu lassen, uns bei aller Schwere der Gedanken die Leichtigkeit des Seins nicht unerträglich erscheinen zu lassen.
