Here is a recording of a short liveset I performed as the closing of a techno party organized by my crew Ultratech. This is surely one of my most improvised sets ever, as there were almost zero written parts before I started playing it. One couldn't tell by just listening to the recording as there isn't any sound from the room, but people were crazy. I remember these ecstatic dancers who made impossible moves just in front of me and the sweaty walls as if it was yesterday.

Here is the recording of an ephemeral liveset I created for Ultratech Chaos Lab 1.0, the first instalment of a party series dedicated to experimental music and digital art. The event took place at le Local Bar, a great venue located in Strasbourg, and well known for its crafted beers and rock concerts. Even if there were few people, the vibe was great, and I remember very well this special feeling of complete freedom I had during my performance. Hence the last part that wasn't supposed to be that long initially.

Special thanks to the Local Bar team for hosting this event, and big up to all the other artists involved: Comtesse du Ghetto, Coloscope, and Crash Server.

Radio captures compiled from May 31 to June 4 and field recordings from June 4 and 5 with mandolin and live loops processing June 6. The concept of dailiness being the inspiration and the he in his dailiness is probably me or she like the Phantom mother in Whitman's "on blue ontario's shores"  "I know not what these plots and wars and deferments are for..."

Disquiet Junto Project 0704: Right on Cumulus
The Assignment: Compose 8-bit music inspired by a Cory Arcangel / Super Mario video.

In 2002, the media artist Cory Arcangel created a work of art titled Super Mario Clouds, which removed everything from the 1985 Super Mario Bros. video game except the blue sky and passing clouds. This means that Arcangel’s video was silent, because also excluded was Koji Kondo’s classic score.

The asignment is to record a very sedate 8-bit music that does feel aligned with Super Mario Clouds. So while listening please watch the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCmAD0TwGcQ).
