Addicted to the “four-four-beat” and began her life as a vinyl junkie in the late 90’s when residing in Los Angeles, California, where she was inspired and fascinated by the thriving underground house music scene. The deep, funky, jazzy, and tribal grooves that “west coast house” was founded upon have also been key elements in her dj sets ever since.
With the passion to share this new love she’d f
ound, Nina returned to Taiwan and launched into deejaying in 01’. Starting from spinning at underground events and a Ladies-night residency at Club 2F in Taipei, but soon after, she was constantly touring around and even got to spin alongside the DJ’s she admires the most- Derrick Carter and Johnny Fiasco, and voted #1 in Taipei Times "Top DJ Poll" in 2006.
At present, besides her residency at InHouse in Taipei every weekend, Nina is also known as “Queen Bee” - a contributor for the column “The Vinyl Word” in Taipei Times, spreading news about some of most interesting happenings and people on Taiwan’s dance music scene.

Individually and as part of a duo, Matrix & Futurebound have decades worth of experience in shaping the drum & bass landscape. Brendan Collins and Jamie Quinn possess one of the most impressive track records in the genre's history, boasting one hundred million combined streams, one critically acclaimed album 'Universal Truth' and multiple consecutive Top 40 UK records. Their expert song writing can be seen through cuts such as 'All I Know', 'Magnetic Eyes' alongside Baby Blue, 'Don't Look Back' ft. Tanya Lacey and the legendary silver certified 'Control' with Max Marshall, which reached number seven on the UK's Top 40 singles chart whilst representing their fourth consecutive track to be playlisted on BBC Radio 1. Matrix & Futurebound are set to capitalise on this success for 2019- their forthcoming second studio LP 'Mystery Machine' is a testament to the legacy which they've built throughout their career, as they've become one of the most influential figures for a colossal dance music export. 
2005 was the year which led to the collaborative project between Matrix & Futurebound; 'Strength to Strength' was a pivotal moment for both artists, who were already prolific through their individual pseudonyms and it's a relationship which soon developed with exciting results. Their debut album 'Universal Truth' in 2007, jointly released on Matrix's Metro Recordings and Futurebound's Viper Recordings, signified the beginning of their joint alias. With Futurebound already having a powerful stake in the Liverpudlian bass scene and with London-based Matrix becoming a staple in DJ sets across the city's major club spaces, they had laid the foundations to launch a critical production team. 
Since then, the pair have gone on to cross over the divide between the underground world of drum & bass and mainstream commercial achievements, with their music translating to both intimate clubs spaces and global festival audiences. 2018 saw the first steps towards 'Mystery Machine', with title track 'Mystery Machine', 'Tardis', 'Live Another Day' and 'Believe' signalling the dancefloor viability of their next historic addition to an already impressive back catalogue. Having debuted many of its ground-breaking new records on stages at EDC, UKF Buenos Aires, Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, Creamfields, Exit Festival, Let it Roll and due to showcase their album at the first of their 'Matrix & Futurebound Presents' nights at XOYO, they helped define the year's taste making tracks. 
But it's not just their standalone tracks which have caught the ears of fans and trend setters alike; as two of the biggest drum & bass figures, they've also remixed the likes of Emeli Sande, Pendulum, Eric Prydz, Jess Glynne, Demi Lovato, Labrinth, Birdy, Tinie Tempah plus many more names of the same stature. Their Emeli Sande rework was one of the vocal drum & bass anthems of the year gaining huge support from daytime Radio 1, making its way into the A list and with extensive specialist play from Annie Mac. This culminated in a highly successful Live Lounge appearance where the duo performed 'Breathing Underwater' with Emeli at Maida Vale, with their remix closing the London NYE fireworks.
Their next single 'Got You There', penned by esteemed songwriter Becky Hill and featuring alt-pop newcomer Zelah on vocals, begins the New Year with a slab of stunning musicality. Released through Viper / Metro Recordings, the emotionally charged anthem received three consecutive weeks of Radio 1 support on Mistajam's Dance Anthems slot, as well as being featured on the Spotify UK and US New Music Friday playlist. It was a hugely successful offering from Matrix & Futurebound and it's another chapter which brings listeners closer to the reveal of 'Mystery Machine'.

Toby Emerson’s beats and bass lines rumble low, underneath addictive hooks and grooves that are guaranteed to rock the club! A producer of elite quality; Toby’s music is meant to be felt as much as heard on the dance floor. His tracks expertly maneuver the musical space between big room electro, house and peak time progressive and have sold in excess of 45,000 copies worldwide! Packing such wicked weaponry, it is no wonder Mr. Emerson has releases on labels like Bug Eyed, Big Fish, System and Subversive. He has received airplay by Judge Jules, and is a featured artist of music software giant, FL Studio. That being said, 2011 is the year you have the opportunity to see one of the continents best party rockers at a club near you! 

Toby’s best selling tracks have been given support by many of the Iconic names in DJing. Artists like Paul Van Dyk, Lazy Rich, Jason Nevins, Scumfrog and Above & Beyond have all brought down the house with Toby Emerson’s bangers. Club Hits like Inappropriate Electro, Never Comin’ Down, Rapture and In The Night highlight a resume jam packed with Beatport top sellers. His tunes have even been included on popular video games like Flash Flash Revolution, IDance and the upcoming Rerave for the Iphone. In addition to his stellar original and remix work, Toby also has three highly acclaimed sample packs that are used in heavy rotation by all the production gods including techno pioneer UMEK. (Check UMEK’s #1 Seller OMGWTF!) All three sample packs have received stunning reviews by computer music magazine.

A talented musician, who sometimes plays guitar and even sings lead vocal on his tracks(Check Never Comin Down!) Toby has had some help along the way. In 2007 he completed the recording arts program at the AI center for Digital Imaging and Sound in Vancouver, Canada. It was around that time that he would often share tips with another Canadian talent on the verge of stardom, Deadmau5. Toby would later utilize his honed skills to produce a stunning sonic reworking of Deadmau5’s Sofi Needs A Ladder. His remix would finish in the top ten of the official Beatport contest and was later given to fans for free.

A side project entitled The Afterschool Special was formed in 2008, as a collaborative with friend, and fellow electro head Jon-E Industry. This hugely successful partnering sparked Electro hits like “Full House” and “Big Money Jazz Hands,” that landed on the hugely successful Bug Eyed Records. Their continued success has brought forth a slew of support and remixes by big name artists including Calvertron, Electric Soulside and collaborations with Canadian favorite Robb G!

Toby Emerson is a great live performer who puts just as much into his live shows as his productions. During his live shows you can expect custom made remixes, edits, loops and the best in progressive, electro, house, techno and everything in between. Impeccable taste and a supernatural sense of what moves the crowd has proved Toby to be one of Western Canada’s top musical performers.

2011 is the year Toby is setting his sights on attaining new heights. He is gearing up to include a Canadian and Asian tour, in addition to an assault of media projects and releases all destined to top the charts. Included is his track Fall Silently with Christoph Maitland and vocalist Veela. Dropping on Audio Planet Recordings it has generated a massive buzz and will feature remixes work by Brazilian star Alex Mind. Also slated for 2011 is the inception of Toby’s own website selling his much sought after samples and synth patches for use in music production.
