Meeting at the crossroads of Jazz and chamber music, David Dvorin (archtop guitar) and Matej Seda (violin) of Pull-string Duo create intimate and involving ensemble performances of original compositions. Truly un-classifiable, the group strives to synthesize seemingly disparate musical elements with such diverse influences as 17th century viol music, modern jazz, rustic blues, American and European folk music, and avant-garde chamber music.

Come celebrate the season at the second annual Festivus, the "Festival-of-Us," two nights of live music featuring eight Bay Area creative jazz groups covering the music of other Bay Area composers and ensembles.  For fans of the Bay Area's vibrant and wildly eclectic jazz and improvised music scene, Festivus is a rare chance to hear original groups, with distinctive sounds and highly personalized musical approaches, re-arrange and re-imagine the compositions of their peers. For newcomers to the scene, Festivus is a fantastic window into what makes the Bay Area music community great - bands with incredible group chemistry, stellar improvisers, and inventive compositions that span alt rock, abstract soundscapes, free jazz groove, lean pop melodicism and artful chamber music.
