Is a composer, sound designer, audio engineer, lecturer and blogger based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Van der Walt completed his Bachelor of Music degree in 2011 from the University of Pretoria and is one of the leading minimalist cinematic composers in the country.

Van der Walt is an accredited Pro Tools Operator (Music). He is a member of the Composers Association of South Africa (CASA) and an associate member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES).
