For some DJs, music is more than just their passion or occupation – it’s the reason for their existence; we all know music is one of the things that keeps the world turning.

I'm a DJ specialising in House Music with over 12 years experience performing for increasingly large audiences in many of the top clubs and events in and around London.

I've been blessed with a deeply ingrained knowledge of House Music and it’s many electronic roots and that understanding allows me to create DJ sets that continue to inspire thousands of music lovers.

My DJ journey allows me to express different elements of House Music by mixing different sounds based on a deep affinity to rhythm and emotion.

My love of all music has allowed me to understand and appreciate all genres, different sounds have helped create my unique ability to weave stories from sounds and mix these into an expression of my own thoughts and emotions.

I discovered I had talent as a DJ when I first played Garage & Funky music, a sound influenced by deep house, Afrobeat, soca, electro house, broken beat and UK garage.

I was given the opportunity to play on a weekly basis for underground radio stations Juice FM and Interstep FM. At present I have a weekly slot on Flex FM playing the best of current House Music.

As music is always changing and evolving I continually develop new techniques and skills, there are many different styles that other DJs use and that I use as a learning experience enabling me to grow and become more professional. Although I have 12 years experience as a DJ there is always more to learn.

My love for house music has inspired me to produce my own beats, using different instruments I've been able to create various styles based on mood and with this I've pushed the boundaries of my work to bring new and inventive beats to life.

What keeps my passion for DJ'ing alive is being able to work alongside a team of other passionate DJs / Producers. The team I work with, Volcano Sound is made up of a collection of unique DJ's and along with offering DJ sets we also hire out sound systems for club events and celebrations. Working with the Volcano Sound Team has allowed me to be part of one of England's iconic and spectacular events, the Notting Hill Carnival where we have been passing on great sounds and memories there over the last four years.

In the future, as DJ K9 I hope to introduce new talents and to continue preaching the sound of House Music to all music lovers. My aim is to focus my journey on developing and adding to the creation and evolution of electronic music/House music and help develop the sounds of tomorrow.
