Sigma have announced their new single featuring Ella Henderson: ‘Glitterball’. The release follows the worldwide hits ‘Changing’ (featuring Paloma Faith), ’Higher’ (featuring Labrinth), and ‘Nobody To Love’, their first No.1 single that gained them two BRITs nominations.

Earlier this year, Sigma (aka Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie) unveiled their new live show in Australia and New Zealand, returning to the UK for a sold out debut live tour that hit London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Brighton. The pair also recently performed at this year’s BAFTAs, following December’s performances at the BBC Music Awards, and the Christmas Day edition of Top Of The Pops.

Currently in the midst of a riotous festival season, Sigma‘s forthcoming shows include Glastonbury, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Hideout, EDC, T In The Park, Creamfields, Pukkelpop, V Festival, and many more, plus dates across the Ibiza season at Together at Amnesia, and Ibiza Rocks. 

Since the release of her debut, million-selling single ‘Ghost’, Ella Henderson has received two BRITs nominations for Best British Female and Best British Single, and seen her debut album ‘Chapter One’ hit No.1 in the UK and reach Platinum status. Ella has since released three further smash hit singles including ‘Glow’, ‘Yours’ and the recent ‘Mirror Man’. In the US, her album hit No.11 on the Billboard charts with ‘Ghost’ selling over a million copies. Ella will embark on her debut headline UK tour for October and November, with two dates at the iconic London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. 

With ‘Glitterball’, Sigma have once again teamed up with UK songwriting giant, Wayne Hector (with whom they made ‘Changing’ and ‘Higher’).

Sigma were the only group in 2014 to have back-to-back No.1 singles in the form of ‘Nobody To Love’ and ‘Changing’ (featuring Paloma Faith), with both shifting over 100,000 copies in their first week. Sigma have now sold 1.75 million singles worldwide in just 10 months, gone Platinum twice in the UK (‘NTL’ and ‘Changing’) and Gold for ‘Changing’ in Germany, and Benelux, and Platinum in Australia and New Zealand (‘NTL’).

Cosmic Bridge Records welcomes J:Kenzo for a double dose of jungle nostalgia viewed through the lens of its recent renaissance.

On ’Skatta’ b/w ‘Alight’, the British producer returns to the sound he first embraced as a teenager by infusing the basics of jungle — cut up breaks, layered pads, and vocal samples from the never-ending trove of Jamaica’s music history — with modern techniques and a healthy dose of low end.

The A-side beings with a throwback, uplifting intro that promptly fades into a tough dancehall-inspired rhythm flourished with shards of breakbeats, catchy chants, and sirens echoing into the darkest corners of the club. J:Kenzo keeps the energy high with scatterings of percussion that play against the distinct bass line melodies. Flip over and watch him set the dance alight with a subtle exercise in junglistic rollage, four minutes of uncompromising break extravagance, tight edits, and pulsing bass that take no prisoners. J:Kenzo treats the classic sound with a reverent approach without being afraid to twist it up. “This release is my ode to 1990s jungle,” he admits.

After emerging in the late 2000s, J:Kenzo first came to prominence in 2010 thanks to the keen ears and support of Youngsta, landing his debut album on the legendary Tempa label before signing releases to Metalheadz, 31 Records, and Exit. His contribution to the growing Cosmic Bridge discography further confirms his talent.
