When No Vain Glory was six years old, he wrote his first song, and by grade seven, he declared his ambition to become a Christian rapper. Later in life, he became agnostic and explored new-age beliefs, but God graciously called him back just as his musical talent had matured. Ironic.

Born in Chipata, a small town in the Eastern Province of Zambia, he grew up in a landlocked country in the southern part of Africa. His father, an ex-band member, introduced him to a lot of rock music. At that time, his father was a Believer, so he grew up listening to bands like Third Day, Casting Crowns, and Mercy Me. His elder brother, on the other hand, was a big fan of Shakur, Biggie, Lil Wayne, T.I., and the like.

During primary school, he took music classes where he learned music theory and a few instruments. His personal favorite at the time was the bass guitar. During this period, he discovered Lecrae and Andy Mineo and started sharing their music with his entire group of friends. As he grew older, he taught himself how to use FL Studio to record, mix, and master music. The rest is history.
