My name is Joseph Smith (no not that Mormon guy) a.k.a. J.O.E., it stands for Jesus Over Everything if you didn't know. It's all about Christ so I like to say it's Christ business and nothing else you know what I mean. I'm a Christ Addict so I can't live without Him. This whole rap thing came out of no where because I really wasn't looking to be a rapper for Christ, I just liked to listen to it. But the Spirit came to me with lyrics that He wanted to speak through me so I had to be obedient and go with it. I'm not trying to put myself in the lime light, I'm trying to put Christ in the lime light. So I'm just going as far as the Spirit wants to take me. Any lyrics that you hear coming from me is really coming from the Lord because I'm not rapping, the Spirit is flowing. I want to decrease so that Christ may increase and I want to be transparent so that you can see Him through me (John 3:30). I just want to glorify God with everything I do and get the message of the gospel out to as many people as possible through rap/hip hop music (1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17). So I pray it challenges you, encourages you, convicts you of sin and reflects who God is.
