BIOGRAFIA

La band, chiamata in origine "The Perry’s", fu fondata nel 2004 da Daniele Loreto, di padre italiano e madre inglese. Nella sua breve esistenza ha prodotto un EP omonimo e alcune esibizioni live, ma il gruppo si scioglie dopo poco più di un anno.

L’attività di composizione di Daniele continua incessante, anche ossessivamente, per molti anni a seguire, ma le sue precarie condizioni di salute, non ancora del tutto consapevoli, non gli permettono di concretizzare un sogno che col passare del tempo assume più i contorni di una maledizione che di una salvezza, capovolgendone lo scopo: "l’arte di cui si fa carico". 

Un destino segnato, senza scelta, un'eterna lotta per fuggire dai "vortici" della vita che sono ovunque e lo risucchiano negli abissi del degrado e della miseria umana, continuamente, quando meno se lo aspetta. Di fronte all'impotenza di poter migliorare la propria vita, Daniele perde sempre più il controllo della propria esistenza. Questo porta a un lungo periodo di alcuni anni di canzoni e testi che ossessivamente ripresentano lo stesso tema: la rigidità e la paralisi dell'essere che vive questa condizione, e la ricerca costante di una via di fuga, un modo per tenersi a galla, solo questo... sopravvivenza giornaliera in un mondo che sembra non offrirgli lo spazio di cui necessita e l'amore che tanto vorrebbe ma che sembra non esistere.

Confusione, rabbia, paranoia e demoni interiori di ogni genere cominciano a farsi strada. Il suo mondo, pian piano, comincia a spostarsi dentro di sé, dove è sempre ed unicamente stato. Il seguito sarà una lenta risalita per entrare in contatto con le parti più oscure di sé e la luce rimasta assopita per troppo tempo. 
'Uno, nessuno e centomila' descrive al meglio la sua concezione della vita, nel male e nel bene.

Nel 2014, dopo quasi 10 anni, riprende l’attività live nella band "The Vent", nata come cover band e diventata successivamente una band di pezzi inediti, ma mai mostratisi al pubblico con questi ultimi, nonostante il grandissimo potenziale. Dopo un paio di anni, stanco di non riuscire a trovare la strada da percorrere con una band stabile, decide di rispolverare tutto il suo repertorio scritto fino ad allora (una cinquantina di canzoni) e dedicarsi all’attività da solista.

Questa scelta rappresenta un'esperienza di maturità e indipendenza molto forte che lo proietta verso altri progetti di vita a sfondo artistico e di impegno sociale. Registra un EP di 5 tracce intitolato "It’s an ill wind that blows no good", pubblicato nel luglio 2016, e comincia a suonare in Italia, Francia, Inghilterra e Scozia. 

Dopo un anno di concerti, arricchitosi dell’esperienza da solista ma sempre desideroso di avere una band al suo fianco, fonda i RarAvis, inizialmente come duo e successivamente come band al completo, formata da quattro membri. Fanno il loro debutto a luglio 2017 aprendo il concerto di una band inglese nel loro tour italiano, i 'Serene'. Partecipano, il mese successivo, allo "Yeahjasi! Brindisi Pop Festival 2017" a S. Vito dei Normanni (BR) presso il Laboratorio Urbano Ex-Fadda, come uno dei gruppi spalla di Umberto Maria Giardini (ex Moltheni) e Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi.

Purtroppo, anche questa esperienza non va a buon fine: all’uscita del bassista dal gruppo, non riescono a trovare un valido sostituto e la band rimane in sospeso finché Daniele Loreto e il chitarrista Michele Pinto decidono di portare avanti il progetto come duo, facendosi affiancare dal percussionista Fabio Antonacci. Ad oggi, l'attività dei RarAvis è costellata di collaborazioni e formazioni alternative e occasionali. La band ha uno stile rock, folk rock, rock psichedelico e britpop, con tocchi di punk/grunge e contaminazioni reggae/ska. 

Un viaggio nella mente e nell'animo del cantautore, tra lati oscuri, segreti, sofferenze profonde e dipendenze varie, alla ricerca di una libertà tanto patita quanto riscoperta.
