"After a few years in the making we are over the moon to add Bournemouth based Dunman to the Simply Deep catalogue. Infusing Dubstep & Grime influences with ease, Dunman has been making a stir in the scene and has swiftly risen through the ranks to become an established producer in the scene with releases on labels such as In:flux Audio, Southpoint, Project Allout Records, 1Forty & Reloaded Sounds to name a few.

The '99 Basslines EP' takes us through a brief history of Dunman productions ranging back to 2018. Starting off with the title track at 145BPM, '99 Basslines' is an aggressive punchy Grime track with outstanding synthesis work. No bassline stays the same for long before it starts twisting and oscillating in different directions, keeping the four minute long track exciting to listen to from start to finish.

The rest of the EP follows suit in terms of excitement. 'R2D2' combines nostalgic samples alongside hollow synths with a gritty Dubstep bassline to finish it off. 'Suede Shoes' gives you a moment to catch your breath with fresh R&B flavours, before the next track 'War Fi Dem' lands with a bang. This one was such a large track it would have been rude to not feature two big vocal talents on it, the result a track entitled 'Mad', a shorter vocal friendly version with lyrical slewing from MC's Deeks & Rame, showing you they're worth their salt.

We return to Wifey settings once more for the next track 'Pistol Nights', brimming with fruity colours one would expect from a label like Pearly Whites.

Finishing the EP off with style we have the first appearance of Defiant's new alias 'Yoji' as he takes his hand at remixing the title track with a wavey twist to it - just lovely stuff.

99 Basslines shows how versatile Dunman is as a producer and that he is a force to be reckoned with. With DJ support in the past from Distance, Glume, Rapture 4D & DJ Target, Dunman is a name you need to get familiar with."

Dunman - War Fi Dem

J. Kong is back on In:flux Audio for his third EP in as many years and here he continues to develop the minimal sound showcased on his remix of Dunman's 'Isolation' back in March. Sweeping synth lines and sparse drum patterns combine with those grime influences and J. Kong's signature sampling to great effect across both original tracks.

In the remix department we have two roster stalwarts rolling through to put their spin on lead track 'First'. Aztek goes for a sub heavy roller with crisp synth work and lovely deep drums, while Fork and Knife puts his melting pot production prowess to good work in creating a dubstep remix that feels oh so Fork and Knife with that wicked scattered percussion and those grimey feels.
