Few artists have quite as many years between them as the two minds behind DJ / improv duo Flabbergast. These years of which we speak coincidentally came before they decided to mint their joint moniker. Vincent Lemieux and Guillaume Couto-Dumont have long been creative sparring partners and with their solo output already set in electronic music folklore it is hardly surprising that their joint work is as hard to pin down as it is to fathom how it is produced. Having been active since the mid-nineties D’Julz has been pivotal in the progression of high-grade house and techno with just the right amount of funk and tech. We can’t discuss D’Julz without mentioning his genre-defining imprint Bass Culture Records and its lineage is just as impressive. For the eagle-eyed followers amongst you, you will have noticed that D’Julz has recently gone full circle with the rerelease of one of his first-ever records. Still, it is his work outside of his native land that has moved the sound forward and he has grown alongside it. As the Romanian strain of intricate, yet emotive minimal began to evolve into a more stripped form, Nu Zau and his co-founded UVAR imprint were at the vanguard. With a slew of solo productions in the works, Nu Zau’s aforementioned co-run label has also enjoyed the recent release of the 10 years of UVAR VA. Luckily has Italian driver proceeded to weave into our cars and on coming traffic like Valentino Rossi for his 3hr sprint across Italy to ensure he made it on time for his set. 
Of course he made it, well, with only 3 minutes to spare.

His solo work and combined efforts alongside long-term sparring partner Cosmjn are steeped in lore and for very good reason. A consistent force in the underground, his discography is an impressive snapshot of the most in-demand imprints in the business with standout releases for the likes of Melodrom, Rawax, Atipic, Playedby, and Dubøka Records.
