London based duo Running Hot have been making noise over the past few years for their deep digging DJ sets around London, alongside their DJ edits series and popular YouTube channel.

Their sound covers a lot of ground, from the weird and the wonderful to the best in dance floor business; moving through Reggae, Street Soul, Boogie, Disco, House, Techno & Garage and all the sounds in between.

You can catch them every month via their residency on Balamii radio.

About the mix: We've been meaning to do this mix for a while and this series seemed like the perfect opportunity. It's very much inspired by the legendary "Soft Rock for Hard Times" series from the Universal Cave guys, but this one focuses on yacht rock inspired sounds from outside the US.

I'm excited to present a new guest mix for Sunset Lovers, featuring an incredible DJ from sunny LA, the talented selector and the fantastic guy JUNIOR.

JUNIOR is already quite compelling. It captures his integral role in the Los Angeles underground scene, highlights his significant contributions to iconic parties, and emphasizes his legendary status. 

Certain names are nearly synonymous with the essence of the Los Angeles underground, and JUNIOR is a gleaming example. His roots extend far back to the origin story of our local bedrock. He had a proficient hand in some of the most essential and affirming parties that have left their print on LA lore: Unlock the House with Doc Martin, Sarcastic Disco with DJ Harvey, Sunny Side Up, Sound Of Volume, and many others, both new and old. He maintains a dominating presence with a tuned ear on the warehouse floor.

All the veritable figures in this city have tales to tell about JUNIOR and his endless contributions to uplifting our culture. Literal anthems have been written about him, such as Woolfy’s seminal jam “Junior’s Throwing Craze,” showcasing his passion for creating and propagating disco and house in its purest form, further enhanced by his anchor in tradition. The question is, if a rave happens and JUNIOR wasn’t there to hear it, did the rave even happen?
