For the next in our Off The Record mix series we invited DJ, radio host and music consultant Sam Don or known to his close friends and family, Sam Donnison. Sam is a DJ's DJ, having proved himself and the world over as a man of many styles, tempo and moods. Having shared the airwaves with highly regarded talent like Danilo Plessow aka MCDE and constructed mind soothing mixes for podcasts like Mr Bongo its quite hard to pin point what direction Sam will go in a set. This also shows the sign of a true digger and if Off The Record knows anything its deep diggers. This digging helped Sam curate one of the most captivating compilation series' to come out this year in our opinion; "For The Love Of You", a journey through Lover's Rock across two brilliant volumes on the ever amazing Athens Of The North. For this mix Sam has tapped into a deep dig of fun yet raw house numbers, stemming with vocals, hypnotic acid, heavenly kicks and cunning blends throughout. Welsh has always harbored an avid love of electronic music—and acid house specifically.

In this live keynote interview at the Night Time Industries Association conference at E1 in London, he talks to RA's Senior Producer, Chloe Lula, about his enduring love of nightlife as well as the grueling creative process, his new record label and how club music has changed with the advent of new music production technologies and the rise of the bedroom techno producer. EX.649 Irvine Welsh: 30 Years on From Trainspotting

New York has always been a metropolis that harbours that continuous cultural catalyst as its lights recede every night, that’s no secret. Perhaps what’s even more pressing, is the strong sentiment that its burrows, perhaps Brooklyn in particular, are representing that spirit of electronica more so than ever. The parties and artists that have emerged from that part of the world have certainly impacted the scene of late, none more so than our guest this week. The founder of Soul People Music, and shadowing the alias of Black Jazz Consortium, he’s progressed from his early days of producing hip hop and has levelled his assault firmly on those subsonic transmissions associated with his imprint, and no doubt the cities of the world that are comprised of a heavy touring schedule.

That lands us to this coming week. The East Coast is fronting for his return showing in Australia. Brisbane’s Subtrakt crew face up to kick the tour off this coming Thursday April 17 at Capulet, followed by Inner City Savanna on the Saturday in Melbourne, and closing with Mad Racket in Sydney the following Saturday. There’s a lot of big things happening this year already that are yet to be announced, but this is one of the best. Get onto this Australia. Fred P lines up Kana Broadcast 046. Eric Dunks Duncan started DJ-ing in Manhattan’s Downtown bar and club circuit in the mid 90’s.
In 1996 he stepped out of the DJ booth to help curate music for the Girl Skateboards movie titled ‘Mouse’. 
A couple of years later, Eric along with Thomas Bullock formed the AfterHours party outfit ‘Rub-N-Tug’. 
In 2006 Eric & Liv Spencer started ‘Still Going’ releasing 2 singles on DFA Records including ‘Still Going Theme’ & ’Spaghetti Circus’ the later featuring the ultra talented Reggie Watts on vocals.
Eric Duncan aka Dr. Dunks has remixed as himself or as part of his collaborations:
