Zählzeit, aka Edward Lyle, is a Melbourne-based techno DJ and passionate music enthusiast.

Drawing upon a vast array of musical influences, Zählzeit’s sound is an eclectic mix of the more experimental shades of electronic music, and can be described as dark, industrial, ambient and progressive in nature.

Zählzeit’s greatest musical influences include the likes of Peter Van Hoesen, Donato Dozzy, Function and Luke Slater.

Having been trained in classical music theory from a young age, Zählzeit’s acute understanding of the rhythmic and melodic structure of music allows him to programme his sets in a way that breathes new life into the music. His sets explore a wide range of sounds, creating a coherent emotional journey for the listener.

Zählzeit has supported the likes of Dave Clarke, Jonas Kopp, Answer Code Request and Nick Höppner on their Australian tours, and has played at Stable Music, Stranger, Bunker, Mahala and Unfold events.
