College of Hip Hop Knowledge is a company out of Austin, TX that specializes in all facets of hip hop.  CHHK curates show, throws their own shows, is a promotion company, a brand development company, does artist management, and the flagship is of course the label.  Currently signed is AKAdemics which is a group consisting of Big Mic, Jsun the Prophesor and DJ Berlin.  Also Jsun the Prophesor and Big Mic are signed as solo artists.  CHHk has one mission statment in the hip hop community and it's community, unity and opportunity.

Big Mic blends an aggressive rhyme scheme with potent bars beckoning back to the days of Big Pun with an underlying grittiness that speaks from the streets.   He was  born & raised in South Texas in the Victoria/Goliad area where the southern music sound & the tejano music culture surrounded him as a youth. In  the mid to late 80's his big sister introduced him to East Coast Hip Hop pioneers such as RUN DMC, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, & ATCQ to name a few. Those influences made a lasting impression on his artist approach & direction. His lyrical picture painting writing style allows listeners to delve into his work & follow along with a visual aspect of each concept he conveys in his music. His lyrics speak of unity, freedom & building the community/society through Hip Hop while paying homage to boom bap emceeing & substance through his thought provoking art.
He has had success touring across the United States and bested many foes in rap battles showing off his freestyle prowess & wordplay off the top. He’s currently working  on his follow up official release project to his freshman success Optimus Rhyme, nominated for the Austin Hip Hop Awards Album of the Year in 2016. He is also the active Vice President of College of Hip Hop Knowledge LLC. Hailing from Austin, TX, StormShadow is best known for his realism, eloquent style and engaging lyrics that have enriched the music industry for over thirty years. An Emcee, songwriter, and altruistic artist, StormShadow has been inclined to sound of Hip-Hop since his early years. Growing up, the gifted emcee regularly listened to his older brother playing music from renowned emcees such as; Run DMC, Kool Moe Dee, and LL Cool J. All his consorts were Hip-Hop fans who spoke Hip-Hop terminology and would break dance.
Existing precedingly in a time when analog tape recorders were the norm, StormShadow was able to develop his agility from the ground to the top. Throughout the years, he has performed at several shows like Southwest Music Festival (Austin, TX), Deep Ellum Music Festival (Dallas, TX), and The African Caribbean Music Festival (Killeen, TX), among others and has also opened up for many underground Hip-Hop acts such as; KRS-ONE, R.A. The Rugged Man, Dj Rob Swift of The X-Excutioners, Killah Priest, Raashan Ahmad,
and many more others. Greatly influenced by other legendary emcees, including; the Wu-Tang clan, Tupac, & Nas, among others, StormShadow’s ingenuity has attracted other emcees to work with him. Through his vast discography, the emcee has worked with artists like; Gensu Dean, Rhyme
Fest, Blue Print, Pigeon John, and Slum Village, to mention just a few. His Hip-Hop influences have spread widely to all his music projects and he also passes some of it to other upcoming emcees through his Hip-Hop Culture Workshops.
Currently, StormShadow is warming up for his forthcoming project dubbed “Rebel with ah Cause,” which consists of militant, rebellious, and edutainment vibes. His next single titled “Yeshua's Vengeance” is a whole mix of Jamaican culture with lyrical rhymes over classical music and a Hip-Hop twist. Produced by Dray Yard, the track highlights the prevailing events, from Police Brutality, the lightening of Egyptian / Kemetic hieroglyphs, Racism, the Murder of Sandra Bland, and Genetically modified cannabis.
