Born Knyle Ambers, West has been a writer and poet since the early 90s.
A Detroit native and no stranger to favoring multiple rays of the sunshine we call music. Singing and even a dabble in different genres isn't strange to our hero. Motown soul with a few sprinkles of a whole lot of extra. Recording music since 15 with hundreds of songs and working with artists on both sides of the Atlantic sets him apart from most you'd find on your playlists for sure. Born and raised in Cincinnati Chaun is an accomplished singer/songwriter/producer who has been surrounded by music his whole life. Between his fathers love of jazz, rock and funk music added to his mothers passion for soul and pop music, there was always a diverse set of  artists and music played while growing up. Out of all of those artists, there was one who had the biggest impact, Michael Jackson. Chaun credits Michael along with Chaka Khan, The Beetles, Queen, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder and Prince as his major influences.

Chaun has been actively singing, writing and producing music for almost two decades. Since beginning, he has honed his songwriting and production skills to blend all of the musical styles he's grown up with, creating a sound all of his own. 

He has studied music at both UC's & Xavier's Conservatory of Music schools to hone his craft. In 2003, Chaun also was awarded "honorable mention" for his song titled "Destiny is Paradise", in The John Lennon Songwriting contest. In 2008 Chaun began to co-write and produce music with one of his writing partners, Eddy J. Free on several of his projects.  In addition, Chaun has contributed his voice and songwriting to projects to independent artists from the East Coast and Midwest.  In 2012 Chaun co-wrote and produced and album of original music for Matthew Solomon, winner of Bravo TV's "Kandi Factory", who also toured nationally to support that project.  In 2013, Chaun continued to expand his creative reach by partnering to create the Libremini Collective, a songwriting team that focuses on writing and produces music for a variety of genres.  In 2016, Libremini Collective partnered with Eddy J Free and a playwright to produce original music for a play titled "Click Here".

Chaun is an innovative singer/songwriter/producer who will continue to impact the world of music, film and product marketing.
