It Started With A Casio

A highly improvised piece. I wanted to capture the spontaneous feel that comes with creating melodies, phrases, in the moment. The minimalistic pattern at the beginning was the seed and from there the journey begins. The name 'Didessa' comes from Didessa River in Ethiopia, as the music for me had the feeling of something neverending, wild, yet continually flowing. I also felt drawn to the landscapes there while I was creating this piece.

Stillness isn't absence, it's memory frozen in motion, a spiral suspended in velvety air. Echoes return with form and warmth, transforming silence into presence. Dreams leave residue in reverse, and names become breath, refracted. Somewhere between static and radiance, emotion is reproduced not to be understood, but to be felt again, ever softer.
