This Vault Sessions resident origin story is not unusual - the passionate raver turned DJ - yet it is precisely this time as a dancefloor veteran which has given Lobster an intuition for what makes a great party and what dancers like himself like to hear. With a musical library spanning multiple genres, tempos and decades, Lobster always has the fitting track ready to play out, scouting the dancefloor for the right moment. His keen sense of the crowd has led him to play sets for hungry audiences in venues all over Europe.

While he is primarily focused on his DJ career, Lobster has also been busy shaping his sound with producing which has resulted in releases on respected labels like Room Trax, BCCO and Oecus.

Podcast 5 by @takt_no - Musical expression has been a journey of development for Takt. From groovy and playful to up-tempo with tribal influences, high quality productions have always been her main focus. Her passion for techno has made her an appreciated DJ in her home town of Oslo as well where she has been a part of numerous concepts and collectives.

For the past 8 years, DJ SUN has been blending his punchy, groovy, and intellectual techno with unparalleled mastery.

From house to hip-hop, he has explored every musical corner, ultimately reaching the very essence of techno. In his perpetual quest for new experiences and unwilling to be confined by existing opportunities, he founded his second collective, OTIUM. Skillfully juggling his roles as both DJ and promoter, he handles his four decks and Xone with unmatched speed and responsiveness.

Recently, DJ SUN unveiled a mysterious new venue in the Lausanne region of Switzerland. This secret location offers a mystical and dark ambiance, perfect for dancing and deep introspection. The goal is to provide visitors with a timeless escape where the music carries them for hours, thanks to secret line-ups that allow DJs to truly express themselves.

For DJ SUN, in our fast-paced and selfish world, taking time is crucial. Taking time to reflect or, conversely, to let go and be transcended by powerful, raw, and primal music.

This recording is a reflection of my artistic philosophy as a musician and DJ. I tell a story that combines depth and light-heartedness. Music is serious and important as a craft. It's a universal language all of us intuitively understand. But at the same time music should be enjoyed with an open mind, without any preconceptions or expectations. Here I combine the things I love the most about music: commanding and powerful low frequencies, abstract and emotional sound design and textured rhythms. All of that being heavily inspired by my love for the clubs, dancefloors and the wonderful communities they create.
