I personally recorded most of these tracks from original 70s era vinyl records, some are commercial others are independently released and extremely rare. Some of these tracks can be found nowhere else on the internet but here in this mix.

A deep run of heavyweight dubs and roots versions recorded from original 70s era vinyl records. This mix is centered on Joe Gibbs rhythms and Channel One–era Jamaican recordings from the mid-to-late 1970s. It moves through spare, surgical Tubby dubs, hard dropouts, spring reverb hits, tape delay ghosts, alongside militant vocal versions and DJ cuts from artists like Burning Spear, Yabby You, Sugar Minott, Dillinger, and General Echo.

Rather than polished showcase dubs, these are functional sound-system tools: bass-forward, minimal, and raw, built to test speakers and command a dance. Many of these versions circulated quietly on original Jamaican pressings, often uncredited or inconsistently titled, making them staples of selectors rather than catalog favorites.
