Steffen’s visits in Prague are usually quite memorable. Breathing in a fresh vibe on the anniversary evening in the frontyard, magnetising the early morning crowd at Planeta, smoking out the backstage rave; he always know what records to pack when coming to Prague. Recently he made his mark when opening a night before Aleksi Perälä’s live performance at Lunchmeat Teknologi in May 2023, where he filled the floor instantly with a selection of soft and heavy techno. To refresh the memory, we’re publishing an extract from the set as the 29th episode of our podcast.

This collection consists entirely of live recordings, gleaned from many hundreds of hours spent listening to live concert recordings of the band. A good deal of the songs are 2-track recordings taken from the Dick’s Picks series of releases, although some more hi-fi multi-track recordings, like the hallowed Europe ‘72 version of Morning Dew, are included.
