Alan Kelly was born January 15, l952 in Springfield, Illinois. Raised in Minnesota, Missouri, and Illinois he transmigrated to Colorado in l971 and today lives in Elizabeth, CO on ten acres in the Black Forest, somewhere between Colorado Springs and Denver with his wife Sheila and two children.
Working in both Nashville and Colorado, Kelly's fifth album, "Quiet Lives of Consequence", features some of the best musicians in the country and carries forward with what is now his trademark. Small town America and its characters are wonderfully depicted in a series of touching portrayals that bring to life people we somehow already new.

西洋音楽の緻密なアーキテクチャと対極を成す、偶然性と音素一つ一つの恣意的な関係性に着目し制作しています。音楽を作るという時点で少なからず整えられた要素を持って生み出されるものだが、偶発的要素を限りなく引き出す為に僕の周辺で「死に近い遊び」と呼ばれる一種の陶酔状態を十分に浸透させ、制作活動に取り掛かっています。味わい馴れた耳障り（記憶されたメロディ）が幾度となく現れては消える。良質な技術が分解され、記号的にその音楽が消費されつつある現代を人々に身近であるガレージバンドのプリインストールされたコピー＆ペーストで綴る詩的倒錯の世界。
