I am introducing the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture, known as Japan's Samurai City, through audio. The Aizu region in Fukushima Prefecture is renowned for its rich history and samurai culture. Tsurugajo Castle, a symbol of this area, is a formidable fortress that has been the stage for many battles since the Sengoku period, especially marking its name in history as a fierce battleground during the final years of the Edo period. Tsurugajo Castle narrates the lives and demise of the samurai of Aizu against the backdrop of beautiful scenery through the seasons.

When it comes to samurai information in Aizu, the heroic tale of the Byakkotai is particularly famous. This group of young warriors played a crucial role during the Boshin War. Despite their young age, they exemplified the spirit of duty and loyalty, continuing to inspire many people to this day.

The Aizu region is known for its philosophy centered around "righteousness." This philosophy is deeply intertwined with the samurai's moral values, emphasizing justice and loyalty as the utmost important virtues. The people of Aizu still cherish this spirit today, reflecting it in their lifestyle and culture.

Nanokamachi Street, a historic shopping area, serves as a gateway to Aizu's glorious past.
