Q'hey (Masaya Kyuhei) started DJing in 1989 and ever since has been one of the few key individuals of Japan’s club scene (alongside mainstays Takkyu Ishino, Ken Ishii and Fumiya Tanaka). With a lot of determination, focus, hard work and with the support of loyal fans he has been one of Tokyo’s Techno milestones for many years. From club events to massive outdoor music festivals, Q'hey is the artist who always delivers.

In 1995, Q'hey's time was spent producing tracks and introducing his music to the Asian and European clubbers. Around the same time his Tokyo underground techno party was created, REBOOT at Maniac Love. With a solid line-up of DJs and with Q'hey as the main organizer of the monthly party it has been going strong for more than 14 years. Needless to say, the remarkable music quality plus the powerful fan base, is the fuel for this great everlasting party.

In 1998, after a few releases from several prominent labels he started his own label "Moon Age Recordings". This was a time for more hard work and international exposure. In a matter of months his releases were charted on the play lists of big DJs such as Sven Vath and Marco Bailey.

Until now, he released 3 mix CDs "Sound Republic" (KSR) "Reboot #001" (KSR) and "NYSO Vol.1 DJ Q'hey" (Yenzo Music). In 2006 he released the first album from Moon Age Recordings - Q'hey + Reboot "Electric Eye On Me".

His works have been some very unique projects and again delivering many superb re-mixes and productions. These were released by MB Elektronics, Pornographic Recordings, Rhythm Convert, Omega Audio among others. Also some releases from BluFin as Q-Ram in collaboration with Ramon Zenker from Hardfloor.

On a more technical side, he reviews DJ equipment for music magazines such as "Sound & Recordings" and "Sound Designer". With his extensive knowledge of DJ/production equipment, he also got involved in the development of MC-505 and MC-909 for Roland, providing advice and support for Yamaha and Vestax.

Q'hey has been lucky enough to DJ in countries such as Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Belgium, Spain, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Holland and Poland. In between long hours in the studio and DJing domestically he is continuing to add some more international gigs to his list.

After the earthquake disaster in Japan, Q'hey established charity project "BPM Japan - Be Positive by Music Japan" and continues working to make donations for the victims by making compilation albums, releases and events.

Code Wu he also was the first successful DJ in Taiwan to be invited to the worlds largest music festival GLASTONBURY at main stage The Blues in 2015. 
received a nod from Love Da Records, who released his official remix of the single “Almost Home”from Moby’s album “Innocents”.

In 2009, he debuted his first EP on Beatport.com, the world’s largest DJ music store with a catalogue of over a million tracks, where his song “Buddha” rose to the top 50 downloads in the site. 
His credits as a producer, recording and mixing engineer, and composer who specializes in fusing traditional and modern Chinese instruments with Electronica and Techno beats, to a diverse audience, from music enthusiasts to trendy consumers, positions him as one of Taiwan’s top DJs.

Romanian-born, Toronto-bred Simina Grigoriu has been steadily racking up accolades during her decade-long career. Starting off as a DJ, she quickly made the transition as a producer and kicked off her own label Kuukou, a home for techno forward productions, where she calls all the shots. In this time she’s also transplanted to Berlin, a place she now calls home and the major source of her creative inspiration, a source as diverse as her influences. 

Simina’s musical roots stem deep in her childhood when she studied classical violin and keyboard. Coupled with her parents’ musical legacy and her passion for Hip Hop freestyling as a teen, it encapsulates the foundation of her style, an avenue she continues to explore to this day. 

Garnering on the exposure of Toronto’s clubs, where growing up, the likes of Jeff Mills, Josh Wink and Juan Atkins struck a chord, Simina’s style grew and developed constantly into the straightforward and uplifting techno she fronts today. 

Her first productions came to light on the Berlin label Sonat Records in 2010 with the huge “Mukluks & Ponytails” EP, followed by releases with Phrase Insane Records in Spain, Italy’s Intellectro Vibe, Urban Sound and Frequenza Records. A debut album was sure to follow, as Exit City became one of Susumu Records’ highest chart toppers. 

After a yearlong break, where she focused her efforts on motherhood while keeping an active studio schedule, Simina christened Kuukou Records in July 2016 with her inaugural EP on the label “Techno Monkey”. Shortly after, she doled out “Matching Numbers” on POPOF’s FORM, an immediate hit EP complete with a smashing remix by Julian Jeweil. Since then, Simina has become a mainstay on some of the most notable labels in the techno world, with critically acclaimed, internationally-lauded releases on the likes of ELEVATE, Tronic Music, Set About, Prospect Records and Complexed Records to name just a few. 

An active globetrotter, Simina’s constantly touring, having wowed crowds at festivals and venues all over the world so it’s no surprise the Techno chief named her label ‘Kuukou’ (Japanese for airport). Since its inception the burgeoning imprint has gone from strength to strength, with a steady stream of hard-hitting releases from the likes of Torsten Kanzler, Gallya, Fabio Florido, Dusty Kid, BB Deng, Drumcomplex, Alfred Heinrichs, Martin Books and Daniel Boon amongst others.

Safe to say the coming months and years will provide a plethora of amazing releases, performances and surprises from one of Techno’s most dynamic ladies.

His label together with Steve Parry, Selador Recordings has been one of the most exciting labels around since its inception 10 years ago, releasing many different colours of house and techno and in this current world of limited shelf life, ever-diminishing attention spans and fast-moving, here-today-gone-tomorrow disposable club culture, it is the mark of true talent and dedication that Dave Seaman is still very much 
on everyone’s radar.
