Following the huge success of their comeback EP Gold Teeth, Mak & Pasteman are back on DEXT Recordings with the follow up Push It. The new EP sees the influential duo continue their resurgence with two heavyweight collaborations that reaffirm why their sound remains a cornerstone of the UK underground.
The lead track, Push It, finds Mak & Pasteman teaming up with Denham Audio for a no nonsense club destroyer ,fusing tough as nails drums and low slung, snarling basslines, underpinned by a catchy vocal sample and immersive pads that lock perfectly into the groove.
Next up, the duo link with Odd Occasion for another standout cut, blending gritty, hardware-driven breaks, obscenely distorted low end funk, and chopped up vocals to raise the energy levels even further.
With DEXT026, Mak & Pasteman continue to define their legacy still evolving, still pushing boundaries, and still delivering the kind of uncompromising dancefloor heat that has been at the heart of DEXT since day one.

DNCH (Danchez) brought a breakbeat Golem to life. A creature woven from beats and a bassline that watches over its master while he preaches the right sound and wonders the dark alleyways of music software. Anyone who's ever been to Prague knows the tale: the 16th century rabbi Loew brought a clay man to life by putting a shem with a magic formula under his tongue. The Golem worked tirelessly all week, his forces only getting stronger. The rabbi had to put a new shem under his tongue every Friday night, so he could relax for the rest of the weekend. Otherwise he would have gone mad. A history worth noting!
Ben Coda brought to life Golem's brother. His techno remix of DNCH's track Forced is a marvelous bass creature that marches steadily on and on, and not a wall can stop it. www.kiosekrecords.com

Sticking with LSM tradition, we are kicking advent off with an exclusive track from multi-award winning music producer, film maker and DJ Rory Hoy. Of course, the original "Everybody Needs a 303" is a track by big beat don Fatboy Slim, released in 1996 as the first single from his legendary album Better Living Through Chemistry. Mr Hoy revamps it for 2020, adding his unique touch, it is funk fueled and dance floor ready.

We are super excited to feature this track!! Christmas this year is going to be a bit different but with music this good to get us through, we might just manage it ....

For advent day number 3, we're rolling out the heavy artillery as we bring you an exclusive free track taken from Lee Coombs' brand new album Phazon! My House is a deliciously twisted, deep-as-a-canyon Acid-Hose bubbler that you'd just love to hear being blasted out of a sound system in the early hours. Its intensity would easily be enough to stoke up the engine within and keep you powering on till the bouncers tell you it's time to go home!

The Acid House sound found in My House is one that is spread thick across Lee's new album as he pays homage to '80s House music and the pioneers who made it happen. While all of the influences from those times are present in the 12 tracks featured on his album, they've all been delivered with a modern twist with the dancefloor firmly in mind. Peak-time shakers sit alongside tracks like the one featured and as a unit, they'll lead you off on a journey you'll never forget!

Advent Day 3 : Lee Coombs -  My House

Martin Chandler is a good friend of the LSM family and many of our loyal listeners may have heard or seen him through Simon Shackleton’s (Elite Force) series of extravaganzas (for more of these mixes see https://hearthis.at/martinchandler ). We have managed to drag him screaming out of lockdown to produce a mix of awesome beauty and strength. 

Focusing on techno at the melodic end of the spectrum this glides through a blend of old favourites and new tracks (especially the absolutely incredible Sleepwalker by Tinlicker). He said these are the tracks he is most playing at the moment in which case I think we’d all like to be at his house this Xmas ( though I’m not sure he’d be too happy at that prospect). It’s a great mix to warm you up on a cold night by encouraging you to dance, dance, dance.
