One of the most prolific and world renowned breakers around Krafty Kuts provided this promo mix way back in June 2007. I can't remember where i got this but i did download it all those years ago, 14 to be exact. This mix was when Breaks was taking a turn from the end of Nu Skool Breaks era and bringing it's own new defining genre with a whole group of artists now producing breaks tracks making the breaks genre even more so popular then ever.

My good friend Geordy Carson booked me to play Live at Fozzy Fest in 2012 as Elite Force. It was a heavy weekend that involved shows in Denver, Philadelphia and in the Kananaskis mountains, two hours outside of Calgary ... not to mention two transatlantic flights and 72-hours of sleep deprivation!

Fozzy Fest was epic. Set in incredible mountain surroundings, it was like a small-scale version of Shambhala, built with love and forged through community. This high-quality recording of the event suddenly materialized through the ether in 2021 ... and it's really not bad at all! 

This was an interesting time for music - this set is a journey through multiple genres and is very much about sustaining a real sense of peak-time energy.

Many of the photographers have their idents on the photos I used to piece this tribute to FozzyFest together. Their work is inspiring and exceptional, so please check them out via the FozzyFest Facebook page.

IT'S A TRIP........
The southwest underground rave scene was very healthy during the 1990's.  Lots of free parties in forests, fields, farm buildings or warehouses on industrial estates and they usually always followed weekly club nights that drew people from all over Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset and beyond.  
The soundsystems were banging out acid and it filtered through in genres like Trip-Hop, House and Techno. This mix will take you on a musical acid trip back to that time - It features tunes by the most well known producers of that era along with some underground classics and a couple newer tracks which are a throw back to that original acid sound.

Krafty Kuts, real name Martin Reeves is one of the most influential people in the electronic music scene today with experience as a DJ / Producer for more than two decades. Never one to be tied down to a defined genre Krafty has mixed it with the best and has crafted (pardon the pun) the breaks scene in to what it is today. Many artists have come and gone over the years but Krafty is still here leading the way !

Before there was the Annie Nightingale show on BBC Radio 1 her show in the early 2000's was known as Annie On One. She was the leader in promoting Breaks in the height of it's era and had a never ending supply of local talent including this rare mix from Krafty Kuts back in 2003.

Two tiny ladies with big personalities and shared passion for all music from disco, house, electro, breaks and anything with big bass! When Madame Electrifie and Mini da Minx finally met, they realised that they could be twins. They teamed up for the very first time at the 2018 Christmas edition of Chix in da Mix at The Magic garden for a 2-hour back-2-back session and they blew the roof off completely! The mischievous duo then went on to take the 2019 festival season by storm and together brought the house down at Shindig, Beatherder, Cirque de la Quirk at the Isle of Wight and Shambala, and covered the rest of the major festivals such as Wilderness, Womad, Truefest and Glastonbury as solo artists.

On top of that they were exclusive DJs for a series of Adidas Rockstars events across the UK this summer, with Madame Electrifie going on to rep the brand in Germany. With 2020 firmly out of the way these pocket rockets are set to step things up once again. As an extra Christmas present you catch them streaming live worldwide on Twitch and Mixcloud on Boxing Day.
With a mountain of festivals, international tours, event management and production credits between them – these two can both hold their heads high on the scene, and as long as they have a box to stand on, the two of them together is going to be all kinds of trouble. But which one is the evil one??

It is with great pleasure that we present to you a rare DJ mix from the duo. Covid hasn’t stopped them putting together this funky mother!! This is what LSM is all about … we have disco, we have mashups, we have bass and a cheeky classic or two for good measure. This is a must have for the festive, party soundtrack.

2020 has been bad for the social calendar but as soon as Evil Twin get back behind the decks again, trust us, we will let you know!
