It’s that time again! Last year we brought you the 12 Days of Christmas, this year it’s the 25 days of advent, a mix and / or track for each day and we are super excited to show off what we have in store.

Sticking with tradition we kick things off with friend of the blog, Rory Hoy bringing you possibly his most eclectic mix to date! Starting with some house and disco, things soon progress to funky breaks and big beat to acid house, to full on techno at the end. Featuring some of this own tracks along the way, this cheery chap from Leeds has got good reason to be always smiling!

Advent Day 1 - Rory Hoy - LSM Xmas 2022 Mix

It's fair to say that Pecoe's release rate in 2022 has been off the scale and while I feel pretty confident in saying he's not released something every week of the year, he's released that much that I would have to go and check. Most of what he has released throughout the year has carried his signature funky breaks sound, but a couple of curve balls were thrown out in the form of two excellent disco-led EP's on Rare Wiri and Spa In Disco. Still laced with funk, the two four-track EPs added another string to his bow and showed that there is more to his production work than the well-crafted funky breaks jams we've become accustomed to. 

In keeping with the theme of those two EPs, we have another slice of nu-disco from Pecoe to bring you for day five of our advent calendar. In The 80's is an intense, deep and captivating groove that's easy to get lost in until the bassline kicks in to literally rock your world! It's a little something different from what we're used to from Pecoe, but that's how we like it and like it we do! Download for free on the player above.

For day two of our 25 Days of Advent and because the weekend is here, we bring you another high-energy, high-calibre mixtape, this time from Estonia's First Lady of breaks, Miss Mants. Loaded with a prime-time selection of her current favourites, Miss Mants' intense mix also features a good chunk of her own material too, to show that not only is she a great DJ, but also a great producer.

Lebrosk & Friends Podcast #11 (Guestmix by Smoove) - Life Support Machine

I acknowledge the Wangan & Jagilingou Traditional Owners of the land on which this creation was made manifest in the physical realm. I also pay respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, with ultimate homage being given to the Original Creator Spirit Elders who first shaped these lands that I choose to live.

With my shift from being a fearful and evil Dastard into a more balanced alignment with my true Cosmic nature, this is the first of many sets I will be playing under my new DJ Kosmic moniker. 

I'll also be recording a great many of these sets from deep within the Sacred Lands of Waddananggu.

I recorded this set during the 777 portal as a way of channeling and transmuting some negative energies, with a certain special someone at the forefront of my mind. Though the mix was a total freestyle jam, the track selection seemed to flow perfectly with the feelings in my heart.

The Waddananggu Dreaming Sessions will next be going live on August 27th for the two-year anniversary of the Original Tribal Nations of these lands standing tall and re-claiming their rightful Sovereign Caretaker birthrights.
