After a successful launch in January this year, Nu KVLTURE is back with a second part of the Various Artists Compilation Series “VOL.2”.

40 Artists from all the cross the globe, nu- comeres and og's from the first release, stand together united in all things bass & breaks with BPM ranging from 100 to 170.

Expect even more flavours, with the most wanted dubplates who ended up in mixes by established artists such as LCY, A.Fruit, Sun People, Gremlinz and many others who played them from Boiler room to Rinse Fm. Artwork is once again done by talented Sofija Milosevic.

Some of you may have caught previous posts from LSM's Fifties about one our youngest followers and friend of the blog, Logan, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. 12 year old Logan is in fact the son of my best mate of 20+ years, so I know the struggles he undertakes on a daily basis all to well and it has to be said, with all the medication and physio he has to take and do, he tackles it all head on like a little warrior. 

In Fifties last post about Logan, she mentioned he had started learning to DJ under the guise of, Kid Breaks, so I asked him for mix for a Breaks mix for Life Support Machine. His dad and myself are massive Breakbeat fans so Logan has spent a lot of time listening to that particular style of music and thankfully for us both, but mainly his dads sake, he is now a lover of Breakbeat to. 

The mix featured 'The Awakening' is one Logan has been working on for a while and although there's plenty for him to learn as he starts his journey, he sure knows a good track when he hears one, as you'll see from the tracklist below and hear once you get it playing. Logan may well have had access to both his dads and my own collections of Breakbeat tunes to compile this mix, but we're only to happy to get someone so young into and listening to some proper music. So buckle up folks and get ready to party, Kid Breaks style!

If it feels like it has been ages since you've heard anything from Breaks heavyweights 7DB (Se7en Deadly Breaks), it's because it has been ages! Jake has been dipping his toe in and out of the music world with his impressive Contrasts mix series under his Ensision moniker while Aaron understandably took a lengthy period away from the music world after all of his music-making gear was taken after a break-in. Thankfully for us fans and anyone who appreciates good music, the production bug has not left either of them and we're stoked to welcome them back right here, right now with a brand new remix exclusive to LSM.

Their new bass-heavy remix of Flowdan's 2016 Grime tune Horror Show Style continues with their ethos of breaking beats but on this occasion, it's all about the bump and flex of a distinct Garage vibe. Longtime fans of the duo already know that they know how to make a cracking tune, but some of you will detect an extra crispness and sharpness to the production work of their new remix which is in part thanks to the mentoring of PEAK Producer Training's bossman Mark Yardley of the Stanton Warriors.
