I had the joy of playing the closing set from 2-5 am after Britta Arnold on the main stage in the grand hall of Kaufleuten. A musical experience to the very last beat! Swiss duo Psycho Weazel drop two eccentric cuts on the Argent Sale imprint entitled ‘Race/Stracciatella’. The story of Psycho Weazel is that of a musical thunderbolt between two sensitive guys who radiate captivating productions from their studio nestled on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel that can be found on labels such as À Table, Paradise Chilren and Le Jour Me Nuit. Psycho Weazel are an upcoming Swiss duo who grew up at the foot of a mountain and produce radically universal music that’s been supported by the likes of Curses, Red Axes, Who Made Who, Tushen Raï & Cornelius Doctor, Simple Symmetry earning then gigs at venues around the Swiss region. Heavy but delicate, powerful and light, rigid and groovy, these two tracks are the story of a paradox. The story of an absolutely insane rave, where the slow pace of the music is inversely proportional to the energy it releases. ‘Race’ kicks things off with emphatic leads that sweep underneath the chugging rhythms and modulated melodies that are filled with eccentricity while Stracciatella features uplifting, cosmic synths that progress throughout fused with acid stabs and revolving percussion.

We are excited to welcome young composer Noémi Büchi to the Light of Other Days roster. 

Her debut Ep «Matière» is the result of an extensive study with a modular synthesizer as her instrument of choice. Apart from being a student of contemporary composition and listening to tons of music, Noémi finds most of her inspiration in long nature walks through nearby forests and foggy hills situated close to her bedroom studio. 

In her music she leads the listener safely through deep paths of complex rhythms and otherworldly sounds. Her awareness of timbre nuance and harmonic diversity are constantly matched with her ability to produce fresh and revealing arrangements. 

«Matière» is an exciting excerpt from the works and life of a very 
talented young artist with a bright future ahead.
